Time at the bar!
It's with a heavy heart that we write this post...
We've been at our current site for nearly 8 years and it's brought us a lot of joy in that time, from opening our small tap room in wintery weather, handing out hot water bottles to keep people warm, to Brewing collaborative beers with some of the best UK and European breweries and expanding peoples minds and pushing the boundaries on what beer can actually be!
Unfortunately, with looming increased costs not only with beer duty but with ingredients and especially energy (our electricity bills alone going up 200% per month) we have realised that in order to continue as a brewery we need to double our output.
This unfortunately is not achievable in our current building and with our current kit so we've had to make the tough decision to close the brewery (for now).
This isnt an ultimate farewell but more a see you on the flip side. We're currently looking for new premises and kit and hope to be back in production within the next 6-12 months.
In the meantime, we still have a little bit of beer to sell and we will be holding one hell of a farewell taproom send off next Thu-Sun at our current site.
A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last 8 years! Without you folk it wouldn't have been possible!
But please, keep your ears to the ground, as Beer Ink will be rumbling back onto the scene in a big way, hopefully very soon!
