The Ale House is the second pub to be opened by Bank Top Brewery Estates, the company branching from Bank Top Brewery. The first pub, The Brewery Tap, opened its doors on 13th April 2010, followed four years later, by The Ale House, on 6th December 2014. Eight of these showcase Bank Top's range of beers, the ninth being devoted to bringing you guest ales from local breweries. Why not go for a tasting tray and sample three, six or nine thirds! Alongside the selection of real ales, The Ale House hosts a range of traditional real "cyders." These can be served as a tasting paddle, offering you three individual thirds, like that of the real ale tasting tray, giving you the opportunity to sample three delicious ciders at once! If your taste buds can handle more tantalising, The Ale House boasts an impressive range of specialist bottled beers from Flemish reds, Belgian blondes and dark, aromatic trappists, through to IPAs and Lambic fruit beers, as well as a gluten free pilsner from the exotic Mongozo brand, and many more! Alongside this collection is a range of Rekorderlig ciders and four Bank Top ales available in bottles (our Champion Dark Mild, Port O' Call, Flat Cap and Pavillion Pale Ale). So come visit us and work your way through a tasting tray- you can even enjoy your pint with a sandwich from next door-beer and a butty, what could be better!

Winging it is finally here in the Bank Top Brewery Ale House!

A mix of citra, harlequin and cascade hops. This well balanced ale has been described as not too hoppy, slightly bitter, and tropical.

Happy Halloween!!!

It's Halloween at the BankTop Ale House, and we want to celebrate with you!

This Saturday, we would like to invite you all to a costume party for adults and children! Fantastic prizes to be won!

Plus something for the younger ones! A coloring contest that the kids can enjoy!

Here at the Bank Top Brewery Ale House we are always looking for new ways to improve ourselves and give people more ways to enjoy their time here!

So we will be trialing new closing hours for Friday and Saturday nights!

On friday and Saturdays we will be looking to stay open an extra 30 minutes each night, giving you that extra time you need to relax and enjoy the calm and cozy atmosphere here at the Ale House!

Rather than last orders at 11pm and bar close at 11:15pm. We will be ringing for last orders at 11:30pm and bar close at 11:45pm!

We are excited to trial this new closing times with you all and extend your evening here!

Grafters Honest Bitter is a 4.2% ABV golden session bitter. Moderate, biscuity, and full-bodied despite being easy-drinking and sessionable

Here for one more trip before the slew of seasonal b**rs in the works, harlequin returns to the BankTop Ale House!

Brewed with the british hop harlequin from the Charles faram hop Development Program. This pale ale has tropical fruit flavours and aromas, including passionfruit, peach, and pineapple!

Its "Effortless" getting good b**r and good service from The BankTop Brewery Ale House!

Effortless by RedWillow Brewery is an ultra-pale, gluten-free New Zealand pale ale with an ABV of 3.7%. Made with Nelson Sauvin hops. It comes with the taste of fresh gooseberries and grapefruit with a crisp, clean finish. Refreshing and light with surprising depth for a session-strength b**r.
