‼️ GOSSIP ALERT ‼️

Making the decision to leave has been one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make. After years of pulling pints, listening to the same stories (sometimes more than once) I thought it is finally someone else’s turn!

When I first took on the pub, I never imagined just how much it would become a part of my life, it hasn’t just been a business, it has been my home.

Over the years, we have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, funerals, quiz nights and countless Christmases and New Years Eve’s together.

As well as surviving after being closed for over 19 months due to the pandemic, we’ve been there for each other through life’s tougher moments - proving a pub is so much more then four walls and a bar.

This place’s has been built on friendship, laughter and a community as well as the odd tear.

From regulars who have walked through the door everyday without fail - often before we’ve unlocked it - to the new faces who quickly become friends.

Everyone of you has played a part in making my time in this pub so special. Thank you all for your kindness, your laughter and your loyalty and for allowing me the privilege of being a part of your lives.

I have no leaving date as yet but I have decided to post this now as the Horncastle jungle drums have already started beating. I will post again with a date for our EXTRA SPECIAL leaving party where I hope to see you all.

Sunday from 4pm is the return of the fabulous Charlie Grace!!
