We're directly above Bar Biccari, in the heart of Horbury village; serving twelve types of prosecco, a range of classic and in-house cocktails, high quality spirits and a selection of rotating bottled craft beers. Running in conjunction with the restaurant downstairs, we welcome you to come and enjoy a few glasses of apertif prosecco before your meal, or watch the sun set on our balcony after you've dined with us. We make sure we love everything we sell, but if there's something you'd like to see us stock, we're always open to ideas.

We’ve had plenty of requests for something to eat at Halpenny, so we’re answering with something a little different.

From Sunday 11th October, our cheese trolley will be making its way around the tables every Sunday, with a selection of fine cheeses chosen and served tableside.

Available every Sunday from 4:30–8:30pm, accompanied by our newly extended w**e list and the soft sounds of live acoustic music.

A little cheese, a good glass of w**e, and a Sunday evening done properly.

An Evening Behind the Mask

For one night only, The Halpenny invites you behind the mask for an evening of indulgence, intrigue and late-night revelry.

The evening begins with the elegant sounds of a live acoustic performance, before our lo-fi DJ takes to the decks, carrying the night into something altogether more decadent.

Your admission includes a welcome glass of fizz, performances from our live singer followed by our DJ, a specially curated midnight cocktail, a full canapé service and entry into our midnight prize draw, all served within the intimate surroundings of The Halpenny.

🦪 A little something happened upstairs yesterday…

Our Oyster Festival was one for the books. Fresh oysters, lovely prawn & chicken skewers, cocktails in hand, music in the air and some seriously happy faces along the way.

If you were there, you know.
If you weren’t… well, you rather missed a trick. 😉

A quiet thank you to our brilliant bar team for keeping things flowing, our guest chef Paul for working the grill and sending out some incredible food, and Alfie for creating the atmosphere that made the afternoon what it was.

And if you think that was our only little secret…

Something a little special is coming to The Halpenny…

Join us for our very first Oyster Festival, bringing together fresh oysters, exceptional food and perfectly poured cocktails for one seriously indulgent evening.

We’re delighted to be joined by Paul Cunliffe, who will be preparing our oysters alongside a selection of specially created dishes for the afternoon.

With nearly 30 years of award-winning culinary experience, Paul has held the position of Head Chef at Harvey Nichols, as well as leading kitchens at The Star Inn the Harbour and The Star Inn the City. During his time as Chef Patron at The Dunsforth Public House & Dining, he was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Expect oysters on ice, coastal-inspired dishes, cocktails in hand, live music and plenty of shucking good times.
