Thank you to ALL who came to our monthly charity dog walk for Dogs N Homes. We managed to raise a fantastic £265. It is greatly appreciated.

As the evenings get darker, October’s Paint & Sip in the barn feels perfectly timed…

This month, our resident artist Lauren will be guiding you through Moonscapes & Starry Skies – creating your very own atmospheric night sky to take home.

And don’t worry if your artistic experience begins and ends with painting the spare bedroom! Lauren is brilliant at guiding everyone through the evening, whatever your ability.

Come along, grab a drink from the bar, settle in for a relaxed evening in the barn and see what you can create. 🌙

You might arrive convinced you can’t paint and leave carrying something you’re genuinely proud of!

🦆 THAT’S A WRAP ON OUR 2026 DUCK RACE! 🦆

Another summer has been and gone, and as always, we like to see it off with our annual charity duck race!

A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored a duck this year — and especially to those who put so much time, pride and imagination into decorating them. Some of the creations were absolutely brilliant! 😂🦆

It was a busy but fantastic day, and one thing we’ve definitely learned for 2027… we need MORE ducks!

Most importantly, together we managed to raise an amazing £2,150 for St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke. ❤️

We couldn’t have done it without the support of our customers, suppliers and everyone who helped make the day happen. Thank you all so much.

So, cheers to you all! 🍻 We’ll see you again for the Duck Race in 2027 — but thankfully there are plenty more reasons to keep visiting us at The Mill House before then!

Eyes of the Wild: Paint an Animal Close-Up

Get up close with some of nature's most fascinating creatures as children paint striking animal eyes full of colour, texture and personality.

Choose from a fierce tiger, a zebra, an eagle or a colourful chameleon, then learn how to bring your chosen animal to life on canvas with step-by-step guidance throughout the session.

Halfway through, there'll be a delicious milkshake to enjoy (please place your order at the bar before the workshop begins).
