Unfortunately our friends in Indifference cannot make this weekend due to illness in the family, hence we are going to cover for them at Shillington Social Club house this Saturday. We wish Alison all the best in making a recovery and getting out of hospital as soon as she can.

As from this Friday 21st May The Social Club will be OPEN from 7.30pm - 11.30pm
We must still adhere to the following until 21st June at the earliest:
All individuals aged 16 & over must scan the Track & Trace QR code or provide their details before ordering drinks.
Face coverings must be worn by all aged 16 & over on entering/leaving & moving around the building indoors.
It will be table service only.
The rule of 6 or 2 households only will apply at all times for seating.
Please use Hand Sanitiser Stations provided.
Your co-operation is appreciated for both your & our volunteers safety.

One Way System will be in place for entering and exsiting the club to use the toilets
Face Coverings Must be worn at ALL times when inside the club to use toilets
Test & Trace Details must be given or scan the Clubs QR code using NHS App when making your first drinks order

Shillington Social Club
With the dark clouds slowly a cautiously turning to brighter skies again and restrictions carefully being lifted to return society back to some kind of normal We are happy to inform you that The Social Club will be opening again from Saturday 17th April, should the planned roadmap for easing of restrictions continue with no changes.
To start we will only be opening on Saturdays & Sundays but we will increase our opening days as the daylight hours get longer and more restrictions are lifted.
So, from the 17/04/21 we will be only operating table service outside, seating will be Rule of 6 (we have plenty of picnic benches & chairs)
We will have to take names and contact numbers for the Track & Trace system, these details will only be kept for 21 days then destroyed.
Face coverings must be worn and using the one-way system in and out of the club to use the toilets.
Please bring suitable wet weather clothing, umbrellas etc as we are unable to allow people to shelter inside if the weather does turn bad.
If bad weather is forecast, we will make the decision whether to open or not and post it on the Clubs and Village pages.

SHILLINGTON SOCIAL CLUB COVID-19 UPDATE

Following the announcement from the Government regarding the 'RULE OF SIX' we wanted to let you know the changes at the club.

Opening days and hours will not change, Fridays 7.30pm - 11pm, Saturdays 15.00pm - 19.00pm, Sundays 12 noon - 16.00pm.
The main change will be seating and not mixing with other groups of 6. Outside seating will be in place while the weather allows and we must insist that you only meet up in groups of no more than 6 and do not mix within other groups, we all know this is hard when we all want to meet up to see and catch up with one and other but as the Government have stated the new rule of 6 is now the law. A committee member will approach you if they see these rules being broken, please understand that the committee is made up of volunteers so please be polite and understanding. Without the volunteers we/you wouldn't have a club to socialise in.
With regards to the Test & Trace System we will now need the full name and contact number for ALL visitors of the club, not just "A N Other +2" There will be a form at the bar service point with hand sanitizer for your use after giving your details.

Please all be vigilant and respectful of these new rules and please help our volunteers where possible and self-govern these rules within your respective groups.

Please be vigilant of your property. Early last Wednesday morning 2 individuals attempted to break into the Social Club, thankfully they didn't manage to gain access.
After spending most of today going through the CCTV recordings I have found footage of them having a good look round the building then trying to kick the front door in. Luckily looking at it someone or something disturbed them and they left. Footage will be sent to the Police in the morning.

Following yesterday's announcement from the government regarding social distancing and Covid-19, the Social Club Committee have made the decision to CLOSE with IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
We will be monitoring the situation on a daily basis and hope to reopen as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience.
