After years of bumps, potholes, rattles and the occasional lost filling, the road to The Dinnington Docks is now smooth, quiet and genuinely a pleasure to drive.

So if you’ve been putting off a visit because of the road… you’ve officially run out of excuses! 😂

Cider. Sausages. Music. Summer.

Our Cider & Sausage Festival lands at The Docks on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th July — and it’s shaping up to be a proper one.

20+ ciders pouring across the weekend, bringing together some of the best makers in the West — from heritage producers to local favourites — alongside great food off the grill and out of the kitchen.

Live music both days:

Saturday
– The Roadstars (4pm)
– The Rum Blossoms (8pm)

Sunday
– Ollie Howard (2pm)
– Man from Funkle (5pm)

We’re also teaming up with Dinnington Cider Press for orchard tours with Ben Jaffé — a proper look behind the craft, the land, and the process.

Camping available with Retro Dubs (£15 per van) — stay the night, make a weekend of it.

Free entry. From 12 noon each day.
No tickets. No fuss.
Just good people, proper cider, and a cracking atmosphere in the garden.

🐾 THE CANOPY IS BACK! 🐾

After a bit of lifting, pulling, stretching, adjusting and the occasional bit of colourful language, the garden canopy is finally back up at The Dinnington Docks and ready for the summer ahead! ☀️🍻

Of course, no project is complete without a quality inspection from George, the pub Airedale, who spent the afternoon carefully reviewing my workmanship. So far he hasn’t raised any formal complaints… although the look on his face suggests he’s keeping his options open. 🐶😂

A huge thank you to Andy Harker and Matt Crouch for all their help getting it erected. Couldn’t have done it without you both.

And a special mention to Wayne, who did eventually arrive… just in time to admire everyone else’s hard work. Your contribution has been noted and awarded the appropriate level of praise. 😉🍺

The garden is looking fantastic and the canopy means we’re ready for whatever the British summer decides to throw at us — sunshine, showers, or all four seasons in an afternoon!

Just a reminder that the Dinnington Docks Transport Society Classic Car Meet is taking place this evening from 5pm as usual. The road is now open in both directions, so access is clear for everyone attending. We look forward to seeing you there for another great evening of classic cars and good company

After years of potholes, vehicle damage, frustration and countless conversations, it’s finally happening.

The road to The Dinnington Docks is being repaired — and to a very high standard. The work is progressing well and is expected to be completed by Friday.

I’d like to once again thank Adam Dance MP for his support, persistence and willingness to engage throughout this process. Whatever our individual political views, credit should always be given where it’s due, and Adam has worked with me consistently to help get this issue resolved.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who signed petitions, shared posts, reported issues and helped keep the pressure on. This has always been about making the road safer for residents, visitors, local businesses and everyone who uses it.

We look forward to welcoming you all via a much smoother journey very soon.

From 5pm–8pm, enjoy authentic stone-baked pizzas cooked fresh on site in their wood-fired oven. Whether you’re stopping by after work, meeting friends for a drink, or fancy a relaxed evening in the garden, this is the perfect excuse to head to The Docks.

Retro Dubs Collective roll into The Docks on Saturday 6th June — and you’re all invited.

This is their first meet, and we’re hosting it here in the car-park & garden. Expect a line-up of classic and more modern VW vans, a relaxed crowd, and a proper summer afternoon done right.

But this isn’t just for the VW lot…

Live music from 4pm — The Flaming Cactus

And that’s open to everyone. Whether you’re arriving in a fully restored camper or just fancy a pint and some music in the sun, you’re very welcome.

A little proud moment for us here at The Docks…

This month we’re featured in Somerset Life with a full page advert alongside a beautiful two-page spread celebrating one of Head Chef Mitch’s signature venison recipes.

The feature showcases the sort of cooking we’re passionate about — thoughtful, seasonal dishes built around exceptional ingredients and proper technique. Mitch’s grilled loin of Sika venison looks absolutely stunning in print and perfectly reflects what we try to do here every day: serious cooking in a warm, welcoming country pub.

Also featured is The Gamekeeper’s Larder, who supply all of the incredible venison we’re proud to serve. Supporting passionate local producers and suppliers has always been a huge part of what The Docks is about.
