The Plough Inn is situated at the top of the square in the picturesque village of Hillsborough. The famous family owned business boasts an excellent reputation for hospitality, atmosphere, wonderful food & Live Music. Established in 1758 as a coaching inn, the Plough has a rich heritage with the current owners the Patterson Family having been in business for over 20 years. The Patterson Family have invested their time and energy into transforming this historic building into an award winning pub and restaurant. The latest development within the Plough was the opening of The Vintage Rooms in the Summer of 2016, boosting one of Irelands best Cocktail & Gin Bars with an outstanding Café which opens every day at 9am. The wonderfully traditional surroundings of "The Plough Inn" provide the perfect contrast to the thrills & spills of the modernistic Bar Retro experience next door. The public bar is the quintessenital "local" catering for all major live sport, weekly pub quiz & fantastic live music every Friday & Saturday evening!
