Due to lack of support the globe will not be opening. We have tried to keep it going with covid rules etc, so that it stayed as a working pub, and hopefully someone would carry it on.
However the support we have dose not cover our outgoings. So we are just going to close.

The final is here England V Italy. Please remember covid rules still in play. No entry without a mask, anyone arriving already two shades to the wind will be refused service.
Please stay in your bubbles and enjoy your day, the staff are going to be busy so please be patient with them, any negative remarks and service will be refused.
We all want a good eve so please stick to the rules. Enjoy the game.

So its looking like we can reopen on the 3rd of December, so we will have our Christmas decorations up and ready to welcome you all back. For the pubs to keep going they need your support, hope to see you all again soon.
Rules are still the same, so please again abide by them. Hopefully we will be aloud to stay open till 11, so people feel its worth while coming out. Stay safe Hopefully see you soon.

Only 1 day till new rules start please remember face masks or you will be refused entry. Also don't forget to book your tables for weekend.
Time is now 9.30 to ensure peeps are out of building by 10pm.
Please be patient with our staff bars cannot afford to have extra staff with the amount of revenue we are losing. So a little bit of patience will be needed atm. Anybody not happy or willing to stick to rules please drink else where. To those customers who continue to support us thru these difficult times we truly appreciate all your support, it also helps keep staff in all pubs in jobs x

To all our loyal customers in all three pubs, as you are aware Boris has set out some new rules, for us it dose not make alot of difference as we close early most nights so that will now be all nights. Table service is only form of service which we already do, no one is allowed to approach the bar. Should people insist on doing so they will be refused service and asked to leave.
6 people only on any one table nothing different there, however you now need to wear face coverings until you are seated. No one is to move around tables and should there be no tables free you will be turned away. As always one way system in place. Should anyone not abide by the rules you will not be served and asked to leave.
These are very different and difficult times, and all our pubs are struggling so please have patience with all our staff as they can only do their best.
Do not forget to track and trace and let staff do your temp if available.
Please abide by the rules and stay safe keep your family safe and my staff safe x

The Globe Highworth will be re opening on August 3rd, we will start with 6 close mon to friday and open earlier on weekends, obviously social distancing will be in place, also the beer garden will be open to offer more space, looking forward to welcoming you back.

So the pubs are aloud to reopened on the 4th of July, however major changes,restrictions will be in place.
We are really looking forward to inviting you back, however due to new rules we will be operating a booking system on a fri eve Saturday and Sundays.
This is to ensure we can keep the legal distancing in place. We have been working hard over the lock down to achieve maximum capacity so its viable to re open.
Regarding the Bear Marlborough there will be tables available in main bar, garden, and the back room, pool table has been removed due to restrictions.
The restaurant area will be controlled by kitchen sisters. We will be putting up tables available at the weekend.
For the Deer's leap the main bar, function room and garden areas have all been made ready for maximum capacity at safe distancing. Again we will list no of tables over the weekend so people can book.
As the globe is so small and only has 1 entrance it will be unable to open at present.
All pubs have a huge list of new rules, ill list a few.
One way system in and out of pub.
Table service and contactless payment where possible.
Toilets are 1 in 1 out.
No rowdy shouting or loud music.
You must keep to the appropriate bubbles you have created.
Also safe distancing at all times.
Hand sanitizers to be used frequently and hand washing.
As you can see pubs will not be the way they were, these are but a few of the restrictions.
Also should you be outside and it rains you will be unable to go inside, so will have to leave the premises.
We will do our best to make sure you are all kept safe.
Also please do not be rude to staff enforcing these rules, as they are not the ones making them, and its for your own and their well being they are being implemented. These and all rules will be strictly enforced.
Please also be aware or some changes in opening hours these will be posted over the weekend with the tables available.

While we take very seriously the situation all around the world, the GLOBE in highworth will be open as usual. However we have obviously taken measures to ensure our customers safety, and would also request that any one who is showing any symptoms or is classed as high risk respect the government rules and self isolate.
We are not encouraging people to take things lightly, and as soon as we are asked to close by the government we will. Stay safe x
