3 cues in today 2 straightforward jobs, 1 very challenging one on a cue that's not been touched in over 20 years

Remove super glue off ferule and cue, change tip and lightly smooth maple cue back to a finish.

New tip, smooth, stain and oil for a full service

Take ferule 1/2" down due to the cue having 20 years of sanding it below the ferule. Full strip, stain and 2 coats of oil to do. New ADR just fitted and will shape after the cue service is completed.

We will have hard version in stock from Saturday, extra hard are available but order only as these granite tips aren't for everyone.

5 more cues in for major restoration. Some are worse than others but will all come out like a brand new cue.

5 ferules, 3 brass, 2 titanium
5 complete restorations
5 x ADR 147 tips
1 x butt repair as a major split on it.

Ferules and butt repair done on 4 of them so can now strip, stain and 2 coats of oil. Then finish off with the Soft/ Super Soft layered tips.

A busy weekend but the feedback from completed cues has been brilliant.

Cue has come in for a complete service and badly needed some attention.

Strip 1/2 inch thick lacquer off, a pain to do but well worth it.
Re-stain
2 coats of cue oil.
Clean and straighten ferule
Fit ADR 147 soft tip.

Taking the cue back to clear wood you lose the stain effect the wood grain creates. The lacquer is one of the worst things ever created and should never have been used. It's an 80s thing and luckily rarely used now.

Once the grain filler is applied the cue looks miles better.

Then 2 coats of oil 24 hours apart, then a good polish with a lint free cloth.

Today's refurb of a table in need of some TLC.

Brand new cushions as the old ones were struggling with dead bounces, new Simonis Strachan 861 in powder blue, sorted the pocket liners as some were loose.

Table was levelled also 👏

Just to finish are the replacement corner ends.

Table taken from a tired one to looking like new again.

Will go finish this off and machine polish the balls to make them look and play like new.

This will play a lot faster and better, and a great finish that the customer was more than happy with.

I have had 10 new cues delivered too and these will be posted later today.

Cue re-finished after being taken down to a pool spec tip size.

Fitted a super soft ADR 147 tip along with a titanium ferrule. A fabulous Dean Jones break cue converted to playing spec and will add a female joint extension and an ounce of weight to it.

Re-finished with grain filler and will have 2 coats of cue oil applied 24 hours apart.

Ash cues look amazing once done and will post the finished images next week.
