🎂⚓ WE’RE ONE! ⚓🎂
We honestly can’t quite believe we’re saying this, but The Cosmic Sailor is about to celebrate its 1st Anniversary!
It really doesn’t feel like a year ago that we opened the doors for the first time, not quite knowing what the months ahead would bring.
Since then, our little bar has become so much more than somewhere to grab a pint or a coffee.
We’ve had fantastic live music, quizzes, charity events, solar observing, an eclipse, plenty of laughs, lots of new faces and, most importantly, a wonderful group of regulars and friends who have made The Cosmic Sailor what it is today. ❤️
So, to everyone who has supported us during our first year — whether you’ve been coming in since day one, discovered us somewhere along the way, recommended us to a friend, shared one of our posts, played music here, helped with an event or simply popped in for a pint or a coffee…
THANK YOU.
Running an independent little bar certainly has its interesting moments 😁, but seeing the community that has grown around the Sailor makes it all worthwhile.
And, of course, we couldn’t let our first birthday pass quietly…
🥳 SO WE’RE CELEBRATING THIS SATURDAY – 29TH AUGUST!
🩷🍰 11am–3pm – TEA & CAKES FOR BREAST CANCER NOW
We’ve got a fantastic selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats being donated by our brilliant bakers.
Come along, grab some cake with a coffee or tea — or perhaps something a little more alcoholic 🥂 — and help us raise as much as possible for Breast Cancer Now.
Then in the evening…
🎸⭐ FROM 7:30pm – ANDY WHITE: AN EVENING OF COSMIC TUNES
Andy joins us for the first time with an enormous selection of acoustic classics spanning the decades.
Expect music from David Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, T. Rex, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, The Clash, Paul Weller, Kraftwerk, Supertramp and many, many more.
It should be a cracking way to finish our first birthday Saturday. 🍻🎶
So come down, have some cake, raise a glass, enjoy the music and help us celebrate one whole year of The Cosmic Sailor.
