Due to a technical issue affecting the PDQ machines and internal systems we will be closing for the remainder of today.

After hours spent trying to resolve the matter without success we have made the difficult decision to close early for the day.

Normal service will resume tomorrow, Friday from 12:00 PM.

Many of you will know our lovely Rhianna who recently lost her grandfather John Lewzey.
Our hearts go out to the whole family Natasha, Rhianna, Eromi and all of John’s loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.🙏💖🙏

To honour his memory Rhianna has set up a donation box here at the bar to raise funds for Stroke Association, that does vital work helping survivors and their families rebuild their lives. From funding ground breaking research to providing essential support services and lead campaigns like F.A.S.T. to save lives, they are a lifeline for many.

So If you are visiting us and have any spare change, any contribution to help support stroke awareness and recovery would be a wonderful gesture.

Stepping into U Tagghiu Anticu is like stepping back in time. Our fully reclaimed Victorian caffe bar once served the community as a beautiful local butchers for over 100 years and that same respect for tradition defines every detail today.

The dedication to quality begins with our coffee. Caffè Vergnano is Italy’s oldest family owned roastery, based in the hills of Chieri, Turin. They still practice Torrefazione Lenta a slow roasting method where the beans are roasted for up to 22 minutes for a deep, smooth finish. This same authenticity is found in their Italian hot chocolate, served traditionally dense and velvet thick. ☕️🔥🍫

Our food menu is celebration of authentic Italian ingredients, featuring Italian salads, brushettioni a variety of small and sharing plates, meat and cheese boards with vegetarian and vegan options available 🇮🇹✨🌟

We also have a beautiful curated selection of Italian fine wines, award winning cocktails and refreshing Spritz, and if beers you’re thing a perfect pint of Guinness, VELTINS & local hand pulled ales from The Wold Top Brewery or a choice from the refined range of alcohol free beers, spirits, mocktails and soft drinks.

A last minute birthday request has turned into a beautiful plan for tomorrow night. We’ve invited Paul Garbutt to join us from 7pm and he’ll be performing a selection of relaxed, lovely songs to set the perfect Saturday vibe.

✨🌟The news just keeps coming and we’re a bit overwhelmed to say the least. On the back of the Muddy Stilettos best bar finalists nomination, we’ve just found out we are also finalists for Best Food and Drink Small Business in the Small Business Awards.🌟✨

To have both of these beautiful nominations alongside each other, when we only opened the doors the back end of December is so much more than we ever expected. We’ve just been focused on the day to day of getting everything right since December, so to get this kind of recognition in just five months is a lovely surprise and makes all the long hours and hard work worth every minute.

Thank you to each and everyone of you that’s supported us so far, we are truly grateful 🙏🌟

🌟We are so looking forward to An Evening of Clairvoyance with Dona Bell tomorrow! 🌟

It has been absolutely incredible to see how much interest this event has had, it sold out completely within the very first weekend. We are so sorry to those we haven't managed to get booked in this time around, and the few people we haven’t managed to get back too, but we are already hoping to get another date in the diary very soon.

For those of you joining us, please make sure you have your tickets ready or check in with your names on the list at the door. We will be open from 6pm onwards so you can settle in comfortably before the evening starts at 7pm.

✨✨Our hearts are so full after Meadows last official shift. A massive thank you to everyone who came down to show her so much love, to our wonderful regulars who know us so well and to all the who have travelled from afar to find us here in Helmsley, It was a truly beautiful evening. ✨✨

While it was Meadow's "last" shift for now, it certainly won’t be the last time she fills our Victorian walls with her voice. And you’ll see her singing with us again very soon.🙏

We’ve had such an unexpectedly busy week that we’ve had to head out to pick up extra stock this morning. Because of that, we will be opening a little later today, from 3.30pm serving beautiful Italian coffee, authentic food and drinks all the way through until late.

Your kindness, your reviews, and the way you support what we are doing here means the world to us. Whether you live just around the corner or have travelled to see us we are forever grateful.🍸✨

And with a bit of hope, fingers and toes crossed, and a stroke of luck our planning permission will come through for the garden soon. A beautiful space full of wildflowers with the beautiful river flowing in the background a truly tranquil place to sit, relax and just be amongst the sounds of nature.

We’ve had a few slight changes to our schedule for this Saturday, which means we now have some tables available for the evening!

While the plans for the night have shifted, the music is very much still on. We are so happy to announce that Meadow will be taking the stage her final weekend with us! She’ll be performing a beautiful, relaxed set from around 7/7.30pm onwards.

Serving beautiful Caffè Vergnano coffee, traditional Italian food & drinks and award winning cocktails cocktails all day until late.
