Pianoman Paul's Acoustic Afternoon Hi, I am a professional musician and piano teacher based in Wilsden.

The Acoustic Afternoon is a fantastic venue in the heart of Yorkshire giving the opportunity for young and old to come along and play, sing, narrate or whatever takes your fancy. Outside of teaching and gigging I run an acoustic open mic in the afternoon over at The Mill Hey Brew House, Haworth. It is quickly becoming recognized as a great venue where you can go and see some of the finest new and

upcoming talent from all over the UK. Although the open mic is still in its infancy it has already attracted people from Newcastle, Derby and Liverpool, so there must be a good reason why people travel that far. Unfortunately, and with deep regret I am sorry to inform everyone that yesterday was the last Acoustic afternoon for the forseeable future. This is mainly due to the on going noise complaints and also a gradual decline in the lack of interest. It has been an amazing 3 and a half years and has introduced me to a number of people who would never met if not for music.
On a more positive note I am drawing up proposals for a new music venture at the new Bingley Brew House so watch this space. Thanks to everyone and no doubt I will see you again soon. ❤️

6 days to go until the next Acoustic Afternoon. Joining us this week we have Nay Harrison, The Lights Acoustic Duo, Playhouse and Gastric Band and Ben "Blue" Waters. It will be another great afternoon of live music. Doors open at 12.30 and we will be kicking off around 1.30pm. The Yorkshire Puddings (my new favourite band) brought Sunday to an end with rather a big bang. Silsden's answer to The Mac Lads, who are more than a match for Macclesfields finest. Genius lyricists and the funniest duo around here by a country mile. Thank you so much guys for joining us as we do hope you will come back again. :-)

Denholme's best kept secret Jamie Tough was with us once again on Sunday with a mix of his own material with some covers thrown in. It is always good to see the younger generaion keeping music live and he is up there with the best. Thanks alot Jamie and hope to see you back again later in the year.

SUnday we were joinned by The Naked Truth, a vocal duo from Hebden Bridge. Neil has performed numerous ocassions before with The Men They Couldn't stand, however Sunday he was joined with his girlfriend. Thanks so much for coming across and we look forward to seeing you again soon

Wow, what another amazing day we had yesterday at Mill Hey. From beginning to end it was ace so a massive thank you to everyone who came along and performed. Martin started the afternoon off, and as always it was great listening to him.
Thanks once again Martin and will definitely get you back across before the end the year. :-)
