With just over a week to go until Bokman takes over The Glynne Arms, we are beyond excited.

From midday on Thursday 21st May to Saturday 23rd May, immerse yourself in authentic Korean dining from husband and wife chef duo Kyu Jeong and Duncan Robertson. Formerly of the Michelin-star restaurant L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Paris.

From Thursday 21st - Saturday 23rd May, we’ll be teaming up with husband and wife duo, Duncan and Kyu from Bokman in Bristol. We’ll be bringing you a special three-day residency highlighting their signature Korean inspired dishes.

Duncan and Kyu met in Paris behind the stoves of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Rue du Bac. They then moved to Brive la Gaillarde in SW France, where they opened and ran Restaurant L’Envie which received a Michelin star two years after opening - the first time that a restaurant in the area had been awarded a Michelin star in over 30 years. Their sights were subsequently set on moving to Kyu’s native Korea, where they stayed for nine years, before returning to the UK with their young family to set up Bokman in Bristol. They opened their sister restaurant, Dongnae on Chandos Road in September 2024.

Some very good news!

Next month we’ll be welcoming the team from Bristol-based Korean restaurant Bokman, as they host a three day residency at The Glynne Arms.

Based in Bristol, this casual Korean restaurant is serious about authentic food and fermentation; making their own soy sauce, pickles, kimchi, marinades, and kombucha. 

“We cook dishes that we love, and our menu is rich in history and heritage, taking inspiration from our favourite restaurants in Seoul and further afield in Korea.”

The two chefs, husband and wife Kyu Jeong Jeon and Duncan Robertson, met while at the two Michelin star L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Paris and later led the kitchen of a restaurant in southwest France to a Michelin star.

For a few days in May we’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Duncan, Kyu and the Bokman Team, delivering mouthwatering Korean food.
