It’s a wrap! Lee has now taken on the mega task of resurrection of the Globe Inn and his first taste of Shanty Festival 2026. Trial by ordeal but hopefully come through with flying colours. Good luck from Tracy and Steve.

Steve and myself have to vacate The Globe by the 19th August. We were going to open the pub Saturday and Sunday, but due to things still needing doing, we are only opening on Sunday 16th for our final trading day 😢. We also thought we’d make it our final vinyl day as well. So, if you’d like to be verbally abused and glared at one final time, it’d be lovely to see you all 🤣❤️x

Having been here since March 2003 and 2004, Steve and myself have decided it’s time to part ways with The Globe and let someone else take over the reins and give it a new lease of life.

During the time we have been here, we have met some wonderful people and have made some good friends. We have also met some right knobheads! (I’m being polite!!), and will be glad to see the back of them 🤣. Also, like with any business, there have been good times and rough times which we have managed to battle through.

So, with that said, we would be very honoured if you would join us for a farewell party on Saturday 18th July from 4pm onwards. (It was going to be the 25th, but forgot about the Redoubt b**r festival 🤦‍♀️). We will be putting some food on, but feel free to bring anything to add to the table. Also, the record player will still be here, so also feel free to bring your vinyl (or cds). No Bob Dylan though 🤣🤣
