The Square has been the soul of Harlow for 35+ years and played host to some of the biggest names in Rock, Pop, Jazz and Comedy as well as being a home for hundreds of local bands. Local successes include Collapsed Lung, The Subways, Newtown Neurotics, Morning Parade, George Ezra, Steve Lamacq (BBC DJ who formed a record label in the downstairs bar), Paul Epworth (Grammy winning Bond theme writing producer who used to work in the Square's studio), and big names who have hit the stage include Coldplay, Biffy Clyro, Muse, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs (as Parva), Blur (as Seymour), Eddie Izzard, Jack Dee and lots more. Who has Harlow missed out on since The Square closed?

It’s been nearly 10 years, that’s a lot of new acts not passing through town.

I reckon The Meffs would have played here, The Molotovs too. Probably would have had an agent offer Fontaines DC on one of their early tours as well.

Who else would you have expected to hit our stage in the past decade?

From the ideas I’ve got, and all the things people have suggested, we could make something really special for a 10th anniversary celebration/commiseration event.

It would need to be paid for though, and the simplest way to do that is charge for tickets.

So, how much would you expect to pay for a full all-day event packed full of live music with decent quality acts and at least one ‘big name’ headliner?

And if we did a weekend how much would you expect it to be for a weekend bundle ticket?

I’m not saying Biffy Clyro or Coldplay, but a realistic ‘wow!’ headliner.
