Revival of the Annual Village Pub Cricket 🏏

It’s back — the village pubs are dusting off the whites, oiling the elbows, and preparing for a gloriously good-natured day of cricket, BBQ, Pimms, raffle prizes and community spirit.

We’re calling on our lovely locals to get involved. Whether you fancy volunteering to play, cheering from the sidelines, buying a raffle ticket, or simply coming along for a drink and a burger in the sunshine, we’d love to see you!

The fine weather has turned out for two rather important occasions today.

We’re raising a glass to VE Day, with gratitude and respect for all it represents — and also wishing a very happy 100th birthday to Sir David Attenborough, a true national treasure. Not a bad pair of reasons to pause for a moment in the sunshine.
