Relax in a comfortable and historical setting, upstairs at the famous Old Cock in Halifax. With 21 different gins from around the world, a selection of cocktails and seasonal specials, the Oak Bar Gin & Cocktail Emporium has a fine choice of drinks available at one of Halifax’s most famous venues. Frequented by the Bronte family many years ago it was Branwell Bronte who loved visiting The Oak Bar and The Old Cock. He enjoyed drinking there so much that in 1846 a bailiff turned up at Haworth Parsonage seeking the payment of debts that Branwell owed to Thomas Nicholson, landlord of Halifax’s Old Cock Inn. The Halifax Building Society was also conceived in this very building.
