With the Government lifting restrictions today this means that life can finally start to get back to normal! 🍻

Here are a few things that we need to update you all on at The Travs :

❌ Despite restrictions lifting, for the time being you will not be allowed to sit or stand at the bar. Table service is no longer being carried out, so once you have ordered at the bar and collected your drinks you must go back to where you are sitting or standing

😷 We will encourage you to wear masks when walking around but this is your choice and we are no longer enforcing this. Please respect others wishes to wear a mask if they want

🤒 Please do not come to the pub if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive

Please read our new operating schedule (posted separately) for all of our ways of working. We want to create a safe environment for our staff and customers alike and hope you will accept the changes we have made. See you all very soon 🍻

From tomorrow Thursday 24 September the Government have issued some new guidance for us all to follow to help keep our staff & customers safe and our pub open. From tomorrow you will be asked to wear a face mask when moving in and around the pub which can be removed once seated. Staff will also be asked to wear face masks. We will now be closing at 10pm 7 days a week. We will be offering table service for your drinks and it is now a requirement by law to provide your details in order to help with Test & Trace in the event of a localised COVID outbreak.

Thanks for your patience - we are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back. We will shortly announce the date and time we are reopening !!

To ensure everyones safety we have been given guidelines that all pubs have to follow :

Here is what you might expect when you come back in :

⁃ You will enter the pub and sanitise your hands

- We will have a one-way system in operation so you will leave by a different door to the one you entered

⁃ You will be asked to take a seat at a table

⁃ We are not taking reservations for tables

⁃ We are not permitted to have anyone standing at the bar or anywhere else in the pub

⁃ It will be first come first served, please don’t be offended if we have to turn you away if we are full. Maximum group size is six as long as it complies with social distancing and support bubbles

⁃ We are offering table service so please remain seated until someone takes your order

⁃ We are required to collect the contact details of everyone that comes to help with track and trace in the event of a localised outbreak. You will be asked for your name and a contact telephone number when we take your first order. This will be stored securely for 3 weeks

⁃ Empty glasses will be collected from the tables by our staff. When you leave do not return glassware to the bar - we will collect and sanitise the table before the next customer

⁃ Doors and windows where possible will be kept open to allow for good ventilation, please dress accordingly

⁃ Our toilets will be open with a one in, one out policy. Hand Sanitiser and wash facilities are available. Toilets will be cleaned on a regular basis. Please queue responsibly

⁃ Sadly no live entertainment, karaoke, singing or dancing is permitted

- SKY Sports / BT Sport will be shown but at a set lower volume so people don’t have to shout to hear themselves talk. Tables and chairs will remain in the positions deemed safe for social distancing and must not be moved. No standing will be permitted around the TV’s

⁃ In the event of adverse weather conditions customers can not seek shelter indoors unless there is a table available and social distancing can be maintained. Please bare that in mind and dress appropriately if you sit outside

What we will need from you :

⁃ Please stay at home if you have symptoms of coronavirus, however mild
⁃ Please respect social distancing at all times
⁃ Please use contactless payments where possible
⁃ Please do not move tables and chairs, these will have been set out at the correct social distancing measures
⁃ Indoors you should not gather in groups of more than two households to a maximum number of 6 people
⁃ Outdoors you should not gather in a group of more than six people from different households

⁃ Please be respectful to our staff, we did not make the rules but we all want to do our best to adhere to them to keep everyone safe

We understand there a lot of new guidelines to follow but there will be messages and posters in the pub to remind you. If you have any questions please ask - this is new to everyone and we want you to enjoy a night out but also for staff and customers to be kept safe.
