Hello, The Cross Inn and The White Lion at Heptonstall will be holding a gin tasting festival over 3 days, Friday 31st March and Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd April. This will not be something to be missed. Please save the date; 2 pubs, 3 days and 111 gins to sample!!! More info will follow ............. And its not an April fool. You might be if you miss the event!!!!

So on Wednesday 31st August 2016 my time as the landlady of
The Lord Nelson will come to an end

Its time for me to move on so with a very heavy heart I wish to say goodbye to you all

It was a very difficult decision to make however one that had to be made

I feel honored to have spent time here in this beautiful village

I have met some great people & made some fabulous friends

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone including past & present staff who has helped & supported me for the past 13 years

I will be leaving with happy memories of the Pub & Mayor Makings, Music Festivals, Progessive Dinners, Last Night at the Proms, Bonfie Nights & Christmas’s along with the Church, Conservation Society, In Bloom & many more wonderful times

Much has been achieved in keeping the community together and long may this continue

I am sure everyone will give a warm welcome to the new owners of the Nellie

I wish Darren, Jake & Jess every success & hope they continue to build on what is in here already by making great new friends & fab memories as I have
