As many customers will be aware, the pub has been closed for several days as a direct result of the severe injury I received when dealing with an unruly customer.

I am still in hospital and likely to be here several days more before I can be released and start long-term rehabilitation.

I have life-changing injuries and will need at least 6 months to regain mobility.

The profitability of the pub is not sufficient to compensate for incidents such as this and I have therefore decided that the pub will not reopen under my ownership.

I am open to discussions with prospective buyers but any discussions should be conducted privately, away from this forum.

I will conclude by thanking all patrons for their custom since I took over the pub in 2017.
