The last post from Tony and Glynis.
After years of hard work, sweat, laughter and tears, it's time to say goodbye.
We leave with fond memories and the love you have shown us
We can't thank you all enough for making our time at the Queens enjoyable and for the help and support we have received throughout the renovations, covid and the running of the pub.
We hope our successors, Barry and Lin, enjoy their time here as much as we have and get the same support.
Once again, thank you all so much and if you're ever around the barbican, maybe we can catch up.
Love to you all
Tony and Glyn.
Ps, cheap drinks Saturday 17th for regulars. Closed Sunday till 4 pm

As I’m sure most of you know Tony and Glynis are leaving the Queens Head.
Their last trading day is Sunday 18th October.

By what we see they are definitely leaving it a much better place than when they took it on.

Your new Landlord and Landlady Baz and Lin will have some huge shoes and a brilliant reputation to live up to.

We know from talking to you that they are much loved and will be missed.

We have been to the pub several times and met some of the regulars.

The biggest concern we see is that we will come in and make sweeping changes.

Don’t worry we won’t.

The drinks selection will stay, the hours will stay (once we’ve settled in) The food will be very similar. No posh nosh just good quality pub grub.

We plan to keep the regular activities, quiz night, acoustic nights etc.
