We need your help, little shipmates! ❤️

As Remembrance Sunday approaches, we’d love to create a special poppy display in the alleyway near our noticeboard, to honour the fallen, remember those who gave their lives for our freedom, and show our respect and gratitude to all those who have served and continue to serve. 🌺

We’d love our little community to get involved and help us create something truly special. ❤️

🎨 Here’s how you can help:
🌺 Download the pictures attached to this post and get colouring!
🌺 Pop into the pub from tomorrow to collect some printed copies.
🌺 Or, if you’re feeling extra creative, why not design your very own poppy picture?

Once completed, we’ll bring all your lovely creations together to make a beautiful display for everyone to see and remember. ❤️

It’s a lovely way for our little shipmates to learn about Remembrance, get creative, and play their part in showing respect to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Every poppy, every picture, and every little bit of effort will help make our display special. 🌺

Let’s come together as a community, remember the fallen, and show that we will remember them. ❤️

🌺 WEAR YOUR POPPY WITH PRIDE 🌺

We wear our poppies as a symbol of Remembrance, honouring the service, courage and sacrifice of members of our Armed Forces who lost their lives in the First World War and all subsequent conflicts.

Inspired by the red poppies that grew across the battlefields of the First World War, the remembrance poppy serves as a lasting symbol of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

As a small, local pub, we are proud to support our Armed Forces, veterans and their families. We recognise the sacrifices they have made, the challenges they continue to face, and the freedoms we enjoy because of their service. We will continue to stand alongside and support our Armed Forces community, not just during Remembrance, but throughout the year.

They laid down their lives so that we could live ours in peace. They gave their tomorrows for our todays. We owe them more than remembrance.

This Remembrance, let us honour their courage, remember the fallen, support those who served, and never take our freedom for granted.
