Cheers! It’s official. We’re starting the countdown. A week today our garden will be open for all things Beer, Gin, Wine, Pizza & chat related. Here’s to friendship, laughter, catching up, good times and a pub that can be a pub again.
I did wonder whether in all it’s 400 years the pub had ever been closed for this long. I suspect not so we’ve got some catching up to do.
Bookings not required but recommended as we are already filling up.

Tonight we say a fond farewell to the amazing Mr Andre. He’s been with us since the day we started our Ship adventure and the chances are, if you’ve been a customer over the last 3 and a half years, he’s made you a pizza.
He’s a loyal, kind, hard working, pizza making machine, who has brought energy, fun and impeccably high standards to our kitchen, been a DIY King and has worked bravely through the occasional impressive hangover!
We’re really going to miss you and we wish you all the best for your house building adventures. X

Cheese. It’s fair to say that our Cheese & Onion pizza is not the most impressive looking of our Pizzas (tough to photograph!) . But boy does it pack a punch. Heavily laden with Grated Mozzarella, Fresh Mozzarella, Goats Cheese, Stilton, & Granda Padano it is rich and delicious. The generous amount of cheese is cut with charred onion and spring onion to lift the flavour. It really is the ultimate cheese feast.
