❤️ A LITTLE INTRODUCTION FROM US AT THE NUNSTHORPE TAVERN! ❤️
We’ve noticed a lovely influx of new followers recently, so we thought it was about time we introduced ourselves properly and let everyone know a little bit about who we are, what we stand for and, most importantly, what you can expect when you walk through our doors!
For those who don’t know us, we’re Lewis Parker (Landlord) and Becca Winters (Landlady), and we’re proud to run the Nunsthorpe Tavern as a family-run pub.
One thing we pride ourselves on is respect, friendliness and being part of our community. We believe a local pub should be somewhere people can feel comfortable, enjoy themselves, meet friends, have a laugh and feel welcome, whoever they are.
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room… 👀😂
We know the Tavern has had its reputation over the years, and we’re working hard to change the stigma attached to the “old Tavern”.
It’s not rough, it’s not scary, and despite what some people might still like to call it, it’s definitely NOT the “Druggy Arms”! 🙄😂
We’re just two friendly, approachable people who genuinely want to create a welcoming, enjoyable local pub that our community can be proud of. We’re not claiming to be perfect, but we are putting our hearts into making the Tavern somewhere people actually want to spend their time.
So, what have we got to offer?
🎤 Live entertainment for the adults every weekend, with fantastic singers, performers and plenty of opportunities for a good night out!
🎱 Two pool tables for a game with friends.
🎯 Two dart boards for those who fancy a bit of friendly competition.
🎱 A snooker table available to rent for just £5 an hour!
🍻 A friendly atmosphere, good company, great entertainment and, most importantly, a warm welcome!
We’re constantly working on improving the Tavern, bringing people together and creating an atmosphere that makes people want to come back.
And here’s our biggest ask…
If you’ve never been in, haven’t visited for years, or have perhaps been put off by things you’ve heard, we’d genuinely love you to give us a chance.
Come in, meet us, have a drink, enjoy some entertainment and see for yourselves what the Tavern is becoming. Don’t judge us on an old reputation – come and make your own opinion!
We receive so much kindness, encouragement and support from people throughout our community, and we honestly cannot thank you enough. ❤️
All we’d love now is to see that same support coming through our doors.
Because a local pub is only as strong as the people behind it and the community around it.
We’re here, we’re trying, and we’d love you to be part of our journey.
