It’s nearly time for the annual village Harvest Festival Auction at The Livesey Arms, Ludborough! 🍂🎃

🔨 Auction starts between 7:00pm & 7:30pm
📍 The Livesey Arms, Ludborough

We’d love to see the village come together for a great evening, with all proceeds going towards St Mary’s Church, Ludborough.

🎁 Donations for the auction would be very gratefully appreciated — big or small, every donation helps!

We have now returned to our normal opening hours after our summer closure. However, we must sadly and with heavy hearts start to adjust to life without Kari.

We thought it would be nice to have a way, for everyone who knew her, to share memories and messages that we can pass onto her family.

We have left a book on the bar for people to write messages, anecdotes and tributes. We thought that it would be a nice keepsake, and reminder for her family, of how much she was loved and appreciated here by her ‘Livesey family’.

We are absolutely heartbroken that our gorgeous Kari gained her angel wings yesterday. Words can not express how we feel, we are all still too numb to be honest but we know that life will never be the same at The Livesey again. Kari was a kind, caring and compassionate friend to us all. She was a much loved part of our Livesey family and always brought the sunshine along with her amazing smile and fabulous enthusiasm for dressing up for the occasion whatever that occasion may be! We send all our love and thoughts to Peter, Deborah, Lana and Kai and all of her family and friends. She touched so many lives throughout her short life and certainly crammed as much as she could into the precious time she was here. She will forever be in our hearts, Fly high darling girl you will be missed more that you will ever know x x x

Sorry, long post alert!

We have recently received numerous comments and questions following a local newspaper article about the Livesey Arms so wanted to clarify the situation with all of our loyal customers and friends.

We purchased the Livesey Arms business 9 years ago (!) and have worked extremely hard as a team to build it into the thriving restaurant and pub business it is today. We have many loyal customers who we are lucky enough to now also call good friends and are very grateful and appreciative of everyones support. Unfortunately we are not as young as we used to be! As you will appreciate, hospitality is a very demanding business with a lot of hard graft behind the scenes in addition to the day to day running of the establishment. At some point we want to retire, or at least take things a bit slower! That being said we want to make sure that we can pass the business on as a going concern to someone who can maintain the high standards you have all come to appreciate. We have asked a selling agent if they could assist us in finding someone suitable, hence the article in the local newspaper which seems to have generated a lot of concern about us closing.

We wanted to clarify it is not our intention to close the business at any point, we will continue to operate as normal for the foreseeable future. We are in no rush to go anywhere but need to start thinking ahead. If and when there is any actual news to update you with then we will keep you posted but in the meantime it's very much business as usual! We certainly aren't going anywhere anytime soon! And most definitely won't be going without a big old party!
