Celebrating a remarkable milestone!

Today, we’re honoured to wish Ray Edmonds a very Happy 90th Birthday!

Reaching 90 years is an incredible achievement, and it’s a true testament to a life filled with experience, wisdom, and countless memories. People often talk of fond memories of Ray in the club how he's helped them, told them off or taught them what he knows. He is truly inspiring and a force to be reckoned with.

On behalf of all of us, we wish you a wonderful birthday filled with joy, laughter, and the company of those who mean the most. Here’s to celebrating you today and always!

Our Summer Round Robin Competition returns starting Monday 27th April 7PM start, names down by 6.45PM

Matches are handicapped — giving everyone a fair shot!

Every Monday throughout the summer
£10 entry per session

Breakdown:
80% in prize money each week
10% goes to the cost of tables
10% goes into the prize pot

Play at least 10 games across the summer to qualify for the FINAL WEEK, where the prize pot is up for grabs!

Massive congratulations to Richard Gilliatt , who made his first-ever century break today — an incredible 108 at the age of 46!

Proof that it’s never too late to hit new milestones on the table. Years of patience, practice, and passion all came together in one unforgettable frame.

Well done, Gilly — here’s to many more centuries ahead!

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dave Webster, who gave so much to our snooker league over the years.

Dave served on the committee for over 20 years and was the host at many of our presentation evenings. He was also heavily involved, alongside myself and the late Mick Chew, in organising the league’s 100th Centenary celebrations, an unforgettable exhibition with Jimmy White.

His dedication, enthusiasm, and love for the game and our community were second to none. The league has lost a true gentleman and a great friend.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his beloved wife Chrissy and son jonno and to the rest of his family and friends. Thank you, Dave for everything you did — your contribution will never be forgotten.

Summer Round Robin Success!

What an incredible summer it has been!
Over 40 players joined our Summer Round Robin Competition, and after weeks of exciting matches, we now have our 14 finalists ready to battle it out in the Grand Final Game!

With a prize pot of around £400 up for grabs, the final promises to be one to remember!

A huge thank you to everyone who entered, played, and supported the competition — you’ve made this summer truly amazing!

✨ Snooker is making a comeback! ✨

As many of you know, over the years, snooker hasn’t been as popular as it once was, and sadly, many years ago we had to close our top floor here at Ray Edmonds Snooker Centre.

But… times are changing! 🙌 Thanks to the amazing work of Grimsby & district junior snooker academy, we’re seeing a new wave of young players falling in love with the game again. 💚

The academy is now looking for funding to transform our top floor into a space of their own — and as a family-run business with a real passion for keeping snooker alive for the next generation, we couldn’t be more excited to see this happen!

We’d love your support in helping the juniors bring this vision to life. Together, we can make sure snooker stays strong in our community for years to come.
