We’ve seen all the excitement around The Iron Duke in Great Yarmouth, and we love it ❤️
But we’ve also seen a bit of confusion, so let’s set the record straight…
Yes, we (Zaks) are proud to be the end operators of this incredible restoration 🏛️, working with the Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund 🎟️ and Historic England
But The Iron Duke is NOT becoming “just a Zaks” or a burger bar 🍔🚫
It will reopen as "The Iron Duke" a proper pub and destination in its own right 🍻
Inside, you’ll find:
🔥 "The Iron Chophouse" a classic chophouse focused on quality cuts, proper cooking, great British produce and local seafood 🐟
🍺 "Dukes Bar" within The Iron Duke, pouring local Lacons beers, art deco-inspired cocktails 🍸, and delivering a proper pub feel
Food-wise:
🍺 "Dukes Bar" proper pies 🥧 and light bites, perfect with a pint
🥩 "The Iron Chophouse" – quality meat, local veg alongside fresh local seafood cooked right in front of you!
🌱 We’ll be sourcing the best produce Norfolk & Suffolk have to offer! Local, seasonal and full of flavour
This is about restoring something special for Great Yarmouth, not replacing it 💛
We’re here to respect its history while giving it a proper new lease of life 🛠️
We can’t wait to open the doors 🙌
