When I first started drinking with my Dad, the local pubs would be busy and loud, a hive of activity.
The waft of stale beer as you walked in with a mix of ci******es and dirty dogs, but we loved it, the laughter, the abuse, mickey taking, to drink as much as possible in 3 lunch time hours. So much fun.was had. To then leave the pub knowing you stunk of everything within.

We now find ourselves watching each pub close its doors, the fun and laughter disappearing as this woke world we live in closes us down, the thought of a wet dog, oh no, end of the world!
Well the sadness hits home as both myself and Lorraine will be leaving the pub on Sunday evening coming. Another closure for The Vic, sadness for the village. Use it or lose it is often mentioned, well it’s there in front of you!
We would like to thank the girls that have stood and worked behind us Ann, Lorrie, Hollie & Emma as well as Corrine, Ann and Jackie for their assistance in trying to keep this pub alive.
Thank you to those locals that have supported us, as we wish you a sad farewell. Laterz.
