🍻❤️ What a Weekend It’s Been ❤️🍻

I really can’t thank everyone enough for coming down and supporting The Half Butt Inn this weekend, and for being so patient with us while we find our feet.

We’ve been waiting for our second till to arrive, which will make a huge difference and help speed up service at the bar. Fingers crossed it will be here tomorrow! 🤞🍻

Thank you also for all the beautiful flowers, cards, gifts and well wishes. Your kindness and support have been truly overwhelming, and it means the world to us.

I’m sorry if I didn’t get the chance to speak to everyone personally. It’s been a very busy few days, and I’ve been running around trying to make sure everyone was looked after, but please know how grateful I am for every single person who came through our doors.

Seeing the pub full of smiling faces, friends old and new, enjoying themselves together is exactly what I dreamed The Half Butt Inn would become.

Thank you for helping make our opening weekend so special. I hope you all had a fantastic time, and we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon.

🍻❤️ What a Crazy, Fun and Fantastic First Night! ❤️🍻

I honestly can’t thank everyone enough for coming along and supporting The Half Butt Inn on our opening night.

The support from our friends, family, villagers, locals and new faces has been truly overwhelming. Seeing the pub full of laughter, conversation and smiling faces has meant more to me than words can say.

I really hope everyone has had a wonderful evening and enjoyed being part of this special first chapter in The Half Butt Inn’s new story.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support, your kind words, your patience and your encouragement. This pub belongs to the community, and tonight showed just how special that community is.

🎈❤️ A Massive Thank You ❤️🎈

I would like to say a huge thank you to Heart 2 Heart Balloons and especially Debbie for the absolutely amazing balloon arch at The Half Butt Inn.

Not only does it look fantastic, but Debbie very kindly donated it to support us on our new adventure, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture.

The balloon arch has really helped make our opening extra special and has received so many lovely comments already.

We are incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve received from local businesses, friends, family and our wonderful community as we bring The Half Butt Inn back to life.

🍻❤️ ONLY 29 HOURS TO GO ❤️🍻

We’re so excited to welcome you to The Half Butt Inn when we open our doors on 11th June!

I can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet lots of new ones. As many of you know, this is my first time as a landlady, and what a journey it has been.

Every day has been a learning experience, and I’ve been doing everything I can to make the pub the very best it can be for opening day.

We’re still working hard behind the scenes and there are still improvements to come, but that’s all part of the excitement. Over the coming months we’ll continue adding new features, events and experiences for everyone to enjoy.

Taking on a pub that had become so run down and bringing it back to life has honestly felt like climbing Mount Everest at times. There have been challenges, long days, late nights and plenty of hard work, but I feel like we’re finally reaching the summit and I couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come.

From the very beginning, I had a vision for The Half Butt Inn. Not just a pub, but a true community hub — a welcoming, safe and friendly place where everyone feels at home. Somewhere people can come together, make new friends, catch up with old ones, celebrate special occasions, enjoy great food and drinks, watch sport and simply feel part of something special.

As someone who has lived in Great Horkesley for the past 18 years, this village means so much to me, and I hope The Half Butt Inn can become a place that the whole community is proud of.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, encouraged us, shared our posts, recommended us and believed in us along the way. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to new beginnings, wonderful memories and bringing our community together.

Creating a safe, welcoming environment for everyone is incredibly important to us, so we’ve installed 16 CCTV cameras throughout the pub to help keep both our team and customers protected at all times.

🍕❤️ IMPORTANT OPENING WEEKEND UPDATE FROM THE HALF BUTT INN ❤️🍕

Unfortunately, after the heavy rain we’ve experienced, we’ve discovered a leak in the roof above part of our kitchen.

As a result, we won’t have a fully functioning kitchen ready for opening weekend while we work hard to resolve the issue safely and properly.

The good news is that we are still opening as planned on 11th June and will be serving our delicious stone-baked pizzas along with a selection of sides and sharers.

The pub will still be open, the drinks will still be flowing, the football will still be on, and we’ll still be creating the warm, friendly village atmosphere we’ve been working so hard to bring back to Great Horkesley.
