🍷🕰️ THE CLOCK & BOTTLE — RENOVATION UPDATE 🕰️🍷

Well… 1B Tap is starting to look less like an abandoned 1970s fever dream and more like an actual w**e merchant. 😭🍷🔨

Our baby sister THE CLOCK & BOTTLE is officially taking shape and, for once, we have photographic evidence that we’ve been doing more than drinking tea and pointing at walls. ☕️👉🧱😂

First up…

🪵🔥 THE FLOORING.

That gorgeous herringbone is down in the toilets and LOOK AT IT. 😮‍💨🤌

🚽🚻 THE TOILETS.

Walls are up. Plumbing is going in. Things are actually starting to resemble toilets.

Granted, right now they look like somewhere you’d be taken for questioning… 😭💀

But eventually they’ll be lovely. 😂🚽✨

🧱 NEW WALLS & DOORWAYS.

Spaces are being divided, timber is going in, plastering is underway and the whole layout is finally starting to make sense. 🔨🪚👏

We’ve spent weeks saying:

👉 “Imagine a wall there.”

👉 “Imagine shelves here.”

👉 “Imagine hundreds of bottles of w**e over there.”

At last, you don’t need the imagination of Walt Disney to see it. 😭😂🍷

AND THEN…

🟠🟤🟠 THE CEILING. 🟤🟠🟤

Ohhhhh, the ceiling. 😭😭😭

The glorious, ridiculous, completely unhinged original ceiling.

It’s giving 1970s working men’s club. 🕺
It’s giving three Babychams and a packet of cheese & onion. 🍾😂
It’s giving your nan saying “that wallpaper cost a fortune in 1976.” 👵🏻💅

And we absolutely LOVE IT. 😍🔥

While everything around it gets its glow-up, that little slice of retro madness is staying firmly part of the character. 🕰️✨

There’s still plenty to do…

🔨 Building
🎨 Decorating
🪵 Joinery
💡 Lighting
🍷 Shelving
🍾 And then the VERY important job of filling the place with an unreasonable amount of w**e.

But she’s getting there. 🥹👏

Soon The Clock & Bottle W**e Merchant will be full of beautiful bottles for you to browse, discover and take home…

Including the bottle you’ll buy for “a special occasion” then absolutely demolish in your pyjamas because Wednesday was stressful. 🍷🛋️😭😂

👶🍷 OUR BABY SISTER IS COMING.

She’s dusty.
She’s demanding.
She’s draining the bank account. 💸
She currently has toilets without toilets. 🚽😭
And she’s got the most outrageous ceiling this side of 1974. 🕺🪩

But bloody hell…
