Chris has been cooking professionally for 15 years and now he does it here, for his community. Sunday carvery, daily pub grub menu, proper breakfast, homemade puddings- all made by someone who actually cares about how it tastes.

Come and try it, he will probably offer you a sample.

Happy Monday from Graveney. We are The Four Horseshoes- a family run pub on Head Hill Road, and we’re very glad you’ve found us. Chris is the chef and the rest of our family run everything else. The food is made properly, the welcome genuine and the pint is cold.

The Four Horseshoes has stood on Head Hill Road in Graveney for generations: like many village pubs it went through a difficult period under previous ownership, a low food hygiene rating and a reputation that did not reflect the potential of the place saw it put up for sale.
Then Chris, Trina and the family arrived.
With Chris’ background as a professional chef and the family’s experience running a pub, they took on a building with real bones and set about making it the pub it always should have been. The kitchen was cleaned up, the food improved dramatically and the welcome became genuine. The locals noticed immediately.
We are now writing a new chapter. The pub is known for its Sunday carvery, its generous portions, fair prices and warm atmosphere. The community has rallied around it. We are here for the long term, for the village and everyone that wants to find a proper British pub that has not sold its soul.
