Village pub, owned and run by the same family since 1951. The unspoilt middle bar, with it’s wooden bench seating and roaring fire, is a favourite spot to catch up on the local gossip. The pubs 'Son of Sid' brew house brews for the pub and local beer festivals. Fish and Chips are a highlight on Friday night (booking essential). Real cider is always available. Hannah has started a Scottish/Irish music group in Gransden called Celtic Roots - bringing together people who enjoy playing this style of traditional music.

Please get in touch if you would like to join us - by no means do you need to be an expert. We have a range of skill levels in the group from professional to keen learners.

The types of instruments that suit this music well are wind (tin whistle, flute etc), percussion (bodhran), strings (violin/fiddle, guitar) and accordian/concertinas. But if you have something else that could work please do come along! (Also singers, Irish dancers welcome!)

We meet alternate Sundays at 6pm at The Chequers - with the next session this coming Sunday 13th Sept.
