The Village People Committee decided to share the remaining money equally between all applicants. The amount of £110 has been donated to each of the following -

Glyncorrwg AFC - Football Team
Glyncorrwg RFC - Rugby Team
Glyncorrwg RFC - Darts Teams
Glyncorrwg RFC - Darts player Alix Stent (representing Wales)
Glyncorrwg RFC - Craft Club
Glyncorrwg Primary School - PTA
Glyncorrwg Men’s Shed
Glyncorrwg Ladies Darts
Glyncorrwg Church
Glyncorrwg Christmas Tree Fund

We hope that this will support you to achieve the outcomes outlined in your applications.

We would like to thank everyone once again who has been involved in the charity shows over the years. Not just those on the stage, but those behind the scenes too.
The committee has worked tirelessly over many years to secure funding for equipment and the running of the shows.
This has enabled us to raise thousands and thousands of pounds for the community and without you, it wouldn’t have been possible.

Huge thank you to you all. 🌟

We have received a number of requests and will be in touch with successful applicants, in due course.

We have a small amount of money left in ‘The Village People’ account, that was raised from previous charity shows (that weren’t for specific individuals).
We would like to invite Glyncorrwg community groups/clubs/individuals to apply for this micro funding. Applications will need to outline who it is for, how it would benefit you and/or the community of Glyncorrwg and the amount of money you are requesting.
All applications must be sent to our page inbox and be submitted by 7pm on Tuesday, January 28th.
The Village People Committee will take all information into consideration and then make a decision on who to donate the money to.

Thanks for all the messages regarding the roof. We are aware and have contacted the owner, I actually watched it happening so was onto it straight away yesterday. Unfortunately, there is nothing more we can do 😢. Hopefully it will be fixed soon before further damage is caused. Obviously we advise you to stay away from the area for health and safety purposes.

Sorry we are no longer in a position to offer support to the community in times of crisis. I know others have opened up though and offered their help this weekend. Well done to those and take care everyone ♥️.

As you are aware, we have closed our doors for the final time and the sale of The Hall is complete. We couldn’t have asked for a better ‘last day’ - sad tears, happy tears and lots of reminiscing. The Hall has been a big part for so many people but none more than us. It’s been our life for 33 years and literally everything has revolved around it, so this is going to take some getting used to!
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us from the very beginning, our customers who came daily, weekly or even once a year - thank you, it wouldn’t have been what it was if it wasn’t for you!
To all who have used us as their HQ, we wish you all the best for the future of your teams and thank you for your loyalty right until the end.
To everyone that has used us for functions over the years, attended the carnivals, fun days, those involved in the charity shows, people who have helped us voluntarily, all the bands, musicians, entertainment crews and all other organised groups who used us, the list is endless but we are truly grateful to you all and none of it has gone unnoticed. Also a big thank you to our neighbours in Cymmer Road for your support and understanding. And I have to mention Carter who’s always been with us and played a part too! 👻 😂.

Lastly, to all our staff who have worked for us over the years! For all your hard work, commitment and dedication. Without you, it really wouldn’t have been possible. We have always been fortunate with our employees and haven’t had a big turnover, which speaks volumes! Thanks a million, we appreciate you so much! 🌟

Just to reiterate what we have previously posted, we do not know what the future of The Hall will be, we are aware of the numerous rumours circulating but none of this has come from us. We hand on heart do not know and wait in anticipation with you!

All that’s left to say is for all the fun and memories we have and people that we’ve met along the way - “Thanks to everyone for a great journey”.

Thank you just doesn’t seem enough and we will forever be grateful to you all!

This was the last draw at The Hall and will now transfer to Glyncorrwg AFC’s new HQ, Glyncorrwg RFC. The draw day and time will remain the same (Sunday, 6pm).
