A big well done to Richard, our Gardener! 🌸🌿

We were delighted to receive recognition for taking part in Cumbria in Bloom 2026.

The assessors praised our beautifully maintained gardens, high-quality planting and the care that goes into every part of the grounds, even describing Inn on the Lake as “a slice of paradise.”

They also highlighted Richard’s enthusiasm for the gardens — something we see every day in the amount of work, care and attention he puts into keeping them looking their best.

A lovely piece of feedback and a real credit to Richard and all the work he puts in throughout the year.

Come and enjoy the gardens for yourself — pop in for a drink or something to eat, or stay with us and wake up with Ullswater, the grounds and everything Inn on the Lake has to offer right on your doorstep. https://www.lakedistricthotels.net/innonthelake/
