Opening the show will be LIAM FARRELLY, the incredible 25-year-old comedian from Paisley who, despite his age, already has an impressive list of accolades under his belt, including in 2021 being crowned both Scottish Comedian of the Year AND Frog and Bucket’s World Series Comedy Champion. He’s had TV roles including on BBC Scotland’s Scot Squad and being featured on BBC’s Live at the Apollo. He’s also the support act of choice for big names including Susie McCabe, Larry Dean and Tom Stade.

Susie McCabe’s career has been so stratospheric in recent years, she’s indisputably one of the biggest acts working in Scottish comedy today. Having made multiple TV appearances including Have I Got News for You, Live At The Apollo, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and Question Time, she’s also had a sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show and a triple-sell out run at the legendary King’s Theatre in Glasgow. On Monday 20th April it’s another special edition of Tennent’s Laughter Lounge as we’ve booked his unholiness THE REVEREND OBADIAH STEPPENWOLF III to headline at Tennent's Bar, Glasgow. The night will also feature a strong selection of exciting new acts, all fronted by guest host Pierce Higgins. And with free entry and pints for as low as £3.50, there’s no better night out in this city!

The loud-mouthed, bible-bashing alter-ego of Jim Muir, The Reverend Obadiah Steppenwolf III is an essential comedy experience unlike anything else out there. The Reverend has taken to spreading the word of the Lord on the Radio with his weekly Saints & Sinners round up on Kerrang’s breakfast show and also the Devil’s Own Television, as well as around comedy clubs all over the UK. He was a regular on all 4 series of BBC’s Live Floor Show, for which he was nominated for Scottish BAFTA’S best newcomer award. His 2003 Edinburgh Fringe double-headline show with Frankie Boyle provoked massive, diverse reactions and was simultaneously hailed as the most exciting and original as well as the most offensive and dangerous show on the Fringe. The Reverend’s debut solo Edinburgh Festival Show, What Would Charlie Sheen Do? received 5 star rave reviews. The Reverend’s alter-ego Jim Muir wrote for Channel 4’s Distraction and 8 Out Of 10 Cats, as well as for BBC Two’s Mock The Week.

Jack was also named as the winning recipient of a bursary to fund his 2025 Edinburgh Fringe solo show.

On Monday 23rd March Tennent’s Laughter Lounge presents a special edition stand-up comedy open mic at Tennent's Bar, Glasgow as part of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival 2026. Guest hosted by Cobin Millage, it’ll feature rising stars Becky Price, Dean T Beirne and Scout Robertson, plus a mix of exciting new faces cutting their teeth and veterans trying new material. It’s always fun, totally free of charge, and pints for as little as £3.50.
