The 25-person capacity ice-bar is to be constructed entirely of ice within the £32 million Snow Factor development. Located adjacent to the main 170 metre long

snow slope, Snow Factor’s ‘Ice Bar’ is the latest innovation by mountain sports entrepreneur and Ice Factor International owner, Jamie Smith. The first of its kind and certainly the coolest bar in Scotland, serving a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic concoctions chilled to perfection. Visitors will discover the walls, bar, tables and even the glasses are made of ice! The temperature inside is expected to be minus -6C so Snow Factor will provide all patrons with snug jackets for their visit. Jamie Smith, who also owns Ice Factor Kinlochleven, the world’s largest indoor ice climbing facility, commented: “Our customers are guaranteed a warm welcome in Ice Bar, Scotland’s only venue to be constructed entirely of snow and ice.”

“From New York to London, trendy sub-zero ice-bars are proving to be extremely popular. Now not only can our skiing, snowboarding and ice climbing customers enjoy an ice time with their friends, but party-goers from Scotland and beyond will be able to enjoy a unique, fun and memorable venue less than 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre and the airport.”

The Ice Bar will open at Snow Factor Braehead on Friday 3 April 2015.

The Ice Bar Glasgow was not able to reopen in 2021 however, with a New Year just round the corner, all we will say is watch this space! We look forward to bringing in 2022 and hope to welcome back our awesome customers again!
