A huge congratulations to our Super Seniors on a superb 3.5–2.5 victory over a very strong Ranfurly Castle side at home today. 👏⛳

With every point hard-earned, the match could have gone either way, but the team dug deep when it mattered most to secure an excellent win against one of the strongest sides around.

Well played to all involved — a fantastic result and another great day for Caldwell. 💙🏌️‍♂️

We were naturally disappointed that we had to postpone today's Senior Open until 15th July, but after the weather we've had today, it certainly looks like the difficult but right decision was made by the committee.

What was shaping up to be a great day's golf quickly turned into a very wet one, and conditions would have been far from ideal for players, volunteers and staff alike.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming the field back on 15th July and hopefully enjoying the Senior Open in much more favourable conditions.

Same competition, same great field — just a few weeks later and, with any luck, under blue skies rather than grey clouds! ⛳☀️.

A flawless night for the Caldwell WRL team with a dominant 6–0 home win over Ranfurly Castle tonight - 🔥🏌️‍♀️ . An even more impressive achievement considering this is the team’s first season competing in the top division

46 of our Super Seniors travelled to Paisley Golf Club today for their annual outing today and were blessed with sunshine, great company and just enough good golf to keep the handicaps believable. ☀️⛳

As always, the standard ranged from “still got it” to “haven’t had it since 1998,” but the clubhouse stories afterwards were absolutely world class.

Congratulations to Tony Travers, who clearly spent all week raging about his Ryder Cup defeat and responded the only way he knows how — by winning the outing. 🏆👏

Sources close to Tony say he’s now fully recovered and has already mentioned the victory to absolutely everyone he has spoken to today — including the bar staff, the starter, three members who weren’t there, and one confused delivery driver just looking for the kitchen.

Another exceptionally busy 4 days at Caldwell Golf Club ⛳

With a packed diary of functions, members’ golf and visiting parties, a hole in one for a lucky visitor, the club has been absolutely buzzing all weekend — exactly how we like it.

We’ve welcomed groups from across the country and the feedback has been tremendous, with so many compliments on the condition of the greens, the presentation of the course, the quality of the food and the efforts of our staff throughout the clubhouse pro shop and course.

A massive thank you to every member of the team who has put in long hours over the last few days to keep standards high during an incredibly busy spell. Your hard work is what keeps people coming back.

Our Visiting Parties continue to go from strength to strength, so if your group is looking for a top-class day of golf, great food and even better hospitality, get in touch and book your VP at Caldwell. Email [email protected] or message above. We would love to welcome you

🏆 Senior Ryder Cup Day at Caldwell delivered scenes not witnessed since Europe v USA… if Europe v USA was fuelled by tea, traybakes and discussions about hip replacements. 😅⛳

Charlie’s Angels and McGregor’s Marauders went toe-to-toe in a Ryder Cup classic, with neither side willing to give an inch. After all the matches were done, calculators checked twice, and at least three people insisting “that cannae be right”… it finished 5.5 – 5.5.
So naturally, it went to the ultimate golfing decider… the putt-off.

Up stepped Davie Buchan looking like he’d been practising this moment his whole life in the living room carpet. Cool as ice, he rolled it straight to within a foot 👏
Tony then stepped up knowing he had to hole… and unfortunately hit a putt with enough pace to reach Neilston. 🚀

Cue absolute scenes as Charlie’s Angels somehow, someway, retained the title again. Rumours that McGregor’s Marauders have asked for a VAR review remain unconfirmed. 🏆😂

Brilliant day, brilliant laughs, and proof once again that Senior Ryder Cup Day is one of the best days of the Caldwell calendar.
