Shannon the Cartha Beaver

Shannon the Cartha Beaver Shannon the Beaver was born amongst the trees in Pollock Country Park, far from a natural beaver population.

Orphaned at a young age, she grew up longing for the company of other beavers and eventually set off on an incredible journey, past the Burrell Collection and the Haggs Castle Golf Club. One day she stumbled upon a clearing where mighty women were playing a strange game involving an egg shaped ball--rugby. Shannon found this game and these women astounding and after the game she followed them into

the club house, where these women welcomed her with open arms and pints of beer and cider. Although not beavers in the traditional sense, she found herself a home amongst the Cartha Women's Rugby Club and never left.
