opening clubromantico tonight is 1/2 of LUCKY DIP - a Glasgow-based DJ bringing bass-heavy, experimental sounds to the dancefloor.

Blending dub, Latin club, UK bass and percussive rhythms their sets move between the unexpected and the infectious. Expect left-field selections, heavy low end and a some chaos in the best way.

Club Romantico boss, Florentino is a Mancunian-Colombian artist, producer & DJ who has been shaping cross-cultural club sounds for over a decade, representing Manchester’s most legendary club scene. Releasing music on labels like Mixpak (NYC), Naafi (CDMX), & XL Recordings (UK), while collaborating with & remixing artists like PinkPantheress, Bad Gyal, Shygirl, Isabella Lovestory, MC Bin Laden, Vv Pete, Chucky73 & The Martinez Brothers etc.

Florentino distills a singular brand of club music that moves across continents with ease, with his vision rooted in the heavy science of UK bass, weaving the polyrhythms of the global south (i.e dembow, reggaeton, baile funk and cumbia) into a kinetic whole that feels both cutting-edge, sensual & timeless.

with Glasgow debut of Peruvian duo Dengue Dengue Dengue / DNGDNGDNG

Behind the beautifully crafted handmade masks they wear in photos and in performance are producers, DJs, and graphic designers Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira.

Exploring rhythms from Latin, African, and Anglo culture, DNGDNG recreate them in electronic form by mixing old and new, and analog and digital, resulting in a unique, instantly identifiable sound - from psychedelic cumbia to dub, from salsa to footwork, from tribal to techno.

🌿Stereo is Hiring! 🌿

We’re a vegan bar, restaurant and gig/club venue and we’re looking for experienced bar and floor staff to join us for the seasonal madness (with opportunity to extend into the new year).

Previous bar and floor experience is essential. You also must be available over the Christmas and Hogmanay period, and shifts will largely be weekends and late nights.

We want people who are:

-Queer-friendly and understand what making a safe space actually means
-Confident behind a bar and/or working a busy floor
-Into live music, club nights and Glasgow after dark
-Good craic, good with people and capable of working as part of a team
- Ready to graft when the venue is absolutely bouncing

We pay the Real Living Wage and we cover taxis home after 11pm.
