It’s not often an entire country is burst at the same time, but here we are. Scotland is in a state of National Hingin’.

Worth it though, eh? But…Ooft.

So there’s only one thing for it: get back on it.

Aaaaanyway, if you don’t just need to get back on it, you need to rip the arse right out of it and nobody else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can get the LGB Team. Actually they’re dead easy to find ‘cos the cvnts are never out the place and they’re here every week with their Sunday Soundclash Rave anyway. So we’re all good. I love it when a plan comes together.

You know what to expect by now. If that wasn’t enough, this week their special guest is thee astounding Angel, a Glasgow-based DJ from Caracas, Venezuela. He began his musical journey as a teenager, spending most of his life writing music and playing guitar in punk, psychedelic, and post-rock bands.

His path shifted after getting into the rave scenes of Ghent, where he lived for a couple of years, and then Glasgow, the city he eventually chose to call home, giving the final push to mix other people’s music, focusing on psychedelic and hypnotic sounds.

This evolution also led him to create Luna Roja, the party series where he curates diverse lineups and crafts full musical journeys, focusing on deep, dub and hypnotic techno.

We’ve had another mega weekend here in McChuills with Tia Cousins and Frankie Bones on the decks, but there’s a few hours left of it still, so might as well rip the arse right oot it eh?

Luckily for us, the Lets Go Back crew are incoming and ready to kick off another Sunday Soundclash Rave…

As ever, the lads will be cranking out a soundtrack of anything and everything, from old-school hip hop, rave and house, through dub, breaks and more, right up to the very latest in cutting-edge floorfillers, as well as anything else, from any genre, that takes their fancy.

This week, their special guest is thee most excellent Lee Marvin.

Lee Marvin has been an integral part of the Scottish underground scene in Edinburgh, Glasgow and beyond hosting off the beaten track raves and parties for the past 20 years. Co-founder of Main Ingredient and more recently Like This, he’s known for his eclectic selections keeping dancefloors guessing. Weaving together an assortment of wonky pop, sleazy italo, french boogie, house, afro and obscure disco from around the world. For the past two decades Lee has been busy playing up and down the UK and Europe sharing the booth with the likes of Kerri Chandler, MCDE , Jeff Mills, Robert Hood // Floorplan, Rahaan, Ashley Beedle, Linkwood, Red Rack’em and Craig Smith to name but a few.

So ignore the lovely weather out there and come have a dance in the rave cave with us. Forget the sun, we’ve got lasers.

The weekend is still in full flow, but we’re planning on ripping the arse out of it even more than normal tomorrow with a full six-hour sesh with the Lets Go Back crew and their infamous Sunday Soundclash Rave.

You know the drill by now. The lads will be cranking out a soundtrack of anything and everything, from old-school hip hop, rave and house, through dub, breaks and more, right up to the very latest in cutting-edge floorfillers, as well as anything else, from any genre, that takes their fancy. All with full rave lighting, smoke and general vibes. Oh and lasers. Yes. Lasers. 😍

If that wasn’t enough, this week their special guests are thee awesome Wrong Party.

The mutoid dance collective have been bringing their sordid disco, oddball electronics and turbo mantras to the Southside of Glasgow and beyond now for a good few years and have established a reputation as one of the most unique and immense parties in the city.

Their first McChuills session will see them flexing their collective music collection and digging deep for a more expansive selection than your usual turbo-charged WP offering.

Expect leftfield disco, cosmic oddities, post punk, new wave, dub and more pigeonholes besides. Less slammin’ and more jammin’...or something. 🤪

We are absolutely buzzing to bring them to the pub and can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us. It’s going to be mega. Guaranteed.

The weekend’s just begun but we’re already champing at the bit for the end of it as the Let’s Go Back crew are going to be joined by thee immense Lezzer Quest for their already-infamous Sunday Soundclash Rave.

The brainchild of Glasgow’s underground mainstays Bonzai Bonner (SHOOT YOUR SHOT) and Anna Gram (Correspondent), Lezzer Quest emerged as a larger-than-life force within the city’s vibrant music scene. What started as a collaboration for one-off events quickly evolved into an exciting partnership, capturing the hearts of club goers with their distinctive ‘anything goes’ musical style and infectious energy.

As the duo’s popularity soared, Lezzer Quest have found themselves playing alongside some of the scene’s most prominent names and gained coveted residencies at renowned Glasgow venues like The Berkeley Suite, Sub Club and La Cheetah. Festival appearances include Draaimolen, Body Movements, Riverside Festival Glasgow, and Kelburn Garden Party and in 2024 they made their Berlin debut for the Polari Records launch party at Berghain / Panorama Bar solidifying their reputation as electrifying party starters.

It’s technically the end of the weekend, but which means it’s time to rip the arse right oot it with the Lets Go Back crew and their infamous Sunday Soundclash Rave.

Expect a soundtrack of anything and everything, from old-school hip hop, rave and house, through dub, breaks and more, right up to the very latest in cutting-edge floorfillers, as well as anything else, from any genre, as well a pub full of club-level lighting, strobes, smoke and a hefty dose of atmosphere. Standard Sunday in here, basically.

This week their special guest is thee most-excellent Morrow x Greenman.

Morrow is one half of Intergalactic Funk Smugglers and the legendary Lunacy after-hours spot and various other venues like the The Berkeley Suite, Sub Club and La Cheetah Club as well as playing at Kelburn Garden Party. They’ll be bringing some Acid, Italo, Funk, Electro, Disco, Techno, Freestyle and House.

Greenman has been DJing in Glasgow since 2008 and was a resident at the Sub Club with Stay Fresh and iAM for 6 years. Since then he has spent three years in Berlin playing at various venues, as well as a period honing his sound while living on the Isle of Eigg last year.

We’re all still buzzing from last night’s party with the our actual musical hero, the legendary DJ Pierre, but we are McChuills and ripping the arse out of every weekend is what we do, so…might as well get on with it, eh?

As ever we’ve got our comrades in carnage, the Lets Go Back crew ready to cause it as ever with their Sunday Soundclash Rave.

Expect a soundtrack of anything and everything, from old-school hip hop, rave and house, through dub, breaks and more, right up to the very latest in cutting-edge floorfillers, as well as anything else, from any genre, as well a pub full of club-level lighting, strobes, smoke and a hefty dose of atmosphere. This week their special guest is thee most-excellent Aodhán, who cut his teeth at La Cheetah Club, Glasgow, running the Afloat residency, which brought acts such as DJ Assault and Carl Finlow to the venue. He later moved to Montreal, where he played regularly alongside artists including Regular Fantasy, Dust e-1, and Ramzi. Expect rare, oddball house music and dubby, deep ’90s techno.

Both originally hailing from Edinburgh, the duo have settled in Glasgow and have made their way into the scene as both DJs and producers. The pair’s mutual love for fast, exciting house music is the driving force behind their immense DJ sets and their upcoming four-track EP.
