I am pleased to inform you that we are now able to take card payments once more and the phones are woking again. I would like to apologize to all those who were unable to get through to us or purchase drinks yesterday. I would also like to say a huge thank you to all those customers who shared their cash with others to ease their pain of a dry Friday night.

The first quiz of 2025 will be on Tuesday 28th January for Cancer Research. Please email on [email protected] or call (during opening hours) to book a table. Hosted as usual by Jackie with the music quiz from John Hobbs. Many thanks to them both and to you all for supporting the quiz.

The Limpets will be playing at the Star this Friday 13th December starting from 8:00pm. They will be back with us on Sunday too for a more relaxed afternoon set from 3pm.

In cooperation with Amps of Oundle we are hosting another Wine Tasting on Thursday 7th November
Starting from 7:00pm come and join us to taste 6 different wines through the evening, paired with an appropriate cheese. Our host from Amps will talk through each wine and be on hand to answer any questions that you have.
After the tasting you will be free to enjoy your favourite wines from the tasting while sampling the cold buffet provided.
Tickets for the event are £15 per person, payable in advance.
Price includes:
- Amps wine host for the evening
- 1 tasting glass of each wine - 6 glasses in total.
- Buffet including selection of pairing cheeses crackers, bread and garnishes
