Weekend plans, sorted.

Introducing our brand new aperitif. In collaboration with Newcastle Cocktail Kitchen, we've created our take on a French 75. Hepple Gin, infused with lemon, apricot and chamomile, then topped with Crémant.

Alongside that, comes a change to our sparkling wines available by the glass. We're now offering not one but two Crémants - one white, one rosé - plus, of course, Champagne. You can even get them as a sparkling flight!

Speaking of flights, time is running out to try our Provence Flight of the Month. The perfect selection for this weather - one white, and two very different rosés from the pink wine capital of the world.

You've all been loving this Cite de Carcassonne Pinot Noir so much that we've decided to bring in it's sibling too - Cite de Carcassonne Chardonnay.

Both wines, from Pierre & Antonin in the Languedoc, are produced from organic vineyards farmed sustainably.

To help you get acquainted with the new arrival, we're pouring the Chardonnay on our by the glass list now.

We recently visited Savoie, which is a bit of a paradise for cheese lovers.

Home to a whopping 8 cheese PDOs (including famous faces like Beaufort & Tomme de Savoie), as well as lots of delicious local cheeses, there is always something new to try.

We were determined to taste as many as possible - ticking off lots of Tommes, Chevrotin, Beaufort, Abondance, Blue de Yenne & more. But one cheese we were not expecting to see was the exceptionally rare, Bleu de Termignon.

Bleu de Termignon is now made by just four producers in the Vanoise National Park. Production doesn't start until snow has melted in the valley, so the cheese can only be made from June to October. With an average ageing process of around 4 months, that means it's generally on sale between November & March.

It's a natural blue cheese, meaning the mould develops naturally rather than being added during cheesemaking It's incredibly unique, but with so few producers working in such challenging conditions, Bleu de Termignon is dying out.

Currently, it's one of the cheeses subject to the UK import ban, so it's absent from cheese counters here at home.

When we saw Bleu de Termignon on a counter in a tiny fromagerie in a really small town, we had to buy some. It was, let's say, a little more mature than we would have liked, but still tasting fantastic.

Our advice - if you find yourself in France during the Termignon season and see some, buy it while you can.

A look back on the original Tour de Vin, back in 2024.

This was one of our favourite tastings - a meander through the wine regions of France, inspired by that year's Tour de France route.

We're delighted to be bringing it back with not one, but two, Tour de Vin tastings this summer.

Lots of you tell us that you'd like to come to a tasting but only drink whites, or only drink reds. So here's your chance!

Join us on Friday 3rd July for Team Blanc. We have six delicious whites lined up for you - some from regions you'll know, and some from regions you definitely don't.

Or come along on Friday 24th July for Team Rouge. The same regions and lots of the same producers, but this time tasting their red wine counterparts.

It's a great opportunity to find a new favourite, and we promise - a cycling proficiency test is not required!

New line up of whites and reds pouring by the glass from today!

We've got wines from Provence, Vouvray & Bordeaux. There's hidden gem grapes from the Languedoc. You'll also find a Blanc de Noirs in the mix, and our all-time favourite summer red fresh from Savoie.

What's caught your eye?!

We've also made some changes to our sparkling line up, but you'll have to pop in to see for yourself 🥂
