Deli menu. First day. DONE!

How lovely it is to see the Cheney busy on a Monday. JBs deli menu went down a storm and we can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow.

We are so excited to be opening up our wonderful kitchen on a Monday & Tuesday. The menu is quite simply Perfect for walkers, team meetings or catching up with friends.

We’re in contact with local suppliers and will be growing the deli shop gradually. Please let us know what you’d like to see on offer. We are thinking Breads, cakes, milk, chutneys, eggs etc.

Pie night might be taking a little summer holiday… 🥧☀️
But don’t panic — tapas season has officially arrived 🇪🇸🔥

Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely love proper authentic tapas… big flavours, good vibes, dishes made for sharing and a table full of food.

So from next Wednesday — and every Wednesday after — that’s exactly what we’ll be bringing to the Cheney Arms
Spanish-inspired tapas with a little JB twist 👨‍🍳

Think sunshine food, cold drinks, and plates landing on the table that make everyone instantly jealous.

Sit outside with a drink in the sun or get cosy inside — either way, we’re bringing the flavour 🌞🍷

Sunday Roasts!

Something seriously tasty is coming to Sundays at The Cheney Arms… ☀️🍗

In just a couple of weeks we’ll be launching our brand new Summer Sundays menu and honestly… this might be our favourite one yet.

Think lazy Sunday afternoons, cold drinks flowing, sunshine in the garden and roast dinners done properly.

The one we’re most excited about?
🔥 Beer Can Roast Chicken

Loaded with Garlic & thyme butter and roasted until the skin is golden and crispy while the meat stays ridiculously juicy. The kind of chicken where every single bite makes you stop and go “wow”.

🥕 Carrot & swede rich and buttery flavour
🧄 Garlic tenderstem broccoli with just the right bite
🥔 Marmite roast potatoes with that deep savoury crispy edge (as a side order)
🧀 Truffle cauliflower cheese bubbling away under a golden crumb topping
🐖 Sticky ginger glazed pork belly with proper crisp crackling
🥩 Mustard crust roast beef cooked beautifully pink

And trust us… the vegetables are absolutely stealing the show on this menu.

This is the sort of Sunday dinner that turns into a three-course afternoon and a couple more drinks than you planned.

Nothing goes to waste in our kitchen 🦞🔥

20 lobster shells and trimmings straight into the stock pot, slowly reducing over the next 24 hours to create an absolutely banging lobster stock for future dishes.

Big flavour. Zero waste. Proper cheffy cooking. 👨‍🍳

It’s the little details and the time behind the scenes that make the difference.

Deli News & Opening Times!

We are very excited to announce that we are opening the Cheney Deli from June 1st 2026!

The Deli menu will be available Mondays & Tuesdays 10-3!

We will also be stocked up with lots of local goodies for you to take away. Including our very own “Cheney Chutney” which is currently being formulated by JB. JB Kitchen
