Their influence has been compared to The Specials in the UK and The Skatalites in Jamaica.

After 45 years and more than 6,000 live shows worldwide, they remain one of ska’s great live institutions.

• Ranked #4 Ska Band of All Time by Mojo Magazine

🚨NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT!🚨
20 years after Matty Lewis last played Frome with Zebrahead alongside Reel Big Fish, he returns from the US with his new band, Rocketsuit Rogue, for only their second-ever UK show.

Rocketsuit Rogue

Wednesday 4th November
The Tree House - Frome
£12 advance (+ standard service charge)
18+ | All standing

Rocketsuit Rogue is the new guitar-driven punk rock band from former Zebrahead singer and guitarist Matty Lewis, marking an exciting new chapter for an artist who spent 15 years touring the world with one of punk rock’s most recognisable bands.

After more than 900 shows across 26 countries with Zebrahead, Lewis stepped away from the band in 2021 before returning to music with Rocketsuit Rogue, built around huge hooks, soaring melodies, loud guitars and massive choruses.

Their debut album Hello, Apocalypse! arrives this August, produced by Cameron Webb, whose credits include Pennywise, Motörhead and NOFX. Drawing inspiration from classic 1950s sci-fi and end-of-the-world cinema, the record turns songs about struggle, survival and finding hope in a chaotic world into what the band describes as “rocket-powered anthems for the apocalypse.”

Now, two decades after that 2006 Frome appearance, Matty Lewis is coming back to Frome for one of Rocketsuit Rogue’s first ever UK shows.

With only 110 people able to get in, this should be a special one.

+ special guest Sylvie Grey

Sunday 20th September
The Tree House - Frome
£22 advance (+ standard service charge)
All Standing - 18+ Show

David Thomas Broughton returns with a rare trio performance.

One of the most distinctive and unpredictable figures in British folk and experimental music, Broughton’s songs move between intimacy, humour, improvisation and abstraction. No two performances are quite the same.

Fresh from an appearance at End of the Road Festival, Broughton continues to build his cult reputation through performances that blur the boundaries between song, spontaneity and performance art.

Opening the evening is Sylvie Grey, a songwriter with a gift for stopping a room in its tracks.

“Broughton’s live shows are miniature spectacles. He layers sounds in slightly haphazard ways, as though his songs weren’t so holy that he couldn’t subject them to chance.” – Pitchfork

“The most brilliant and baffling show I’m likely to see this year.” – Time Out New York

“Straddling the line between music hall turn and avant-garde performance artist, Broughton’s live show is not to be missed.” – MOJO
