At Shore Radio, being part of the community means everything to us — and that’s why we’re proud to be working alongside our friends at Frinton-on-Sea Cricket Club and the incredible Legend on the Bench to raise funds for a very special bench at the cricket club.

Legend on the Bench is a charity focused on tackling loneliness, supporting mental wellbeing, and encouraging people to sit down, talk, and connect. A simple bench can become a place where friendships begin, conversations happen, and support is found when it’s needed most.

We believe local radio should do more than just play great music — it should bring people together. Supporting projects like this is exactly what community radio is all about.

Every donation, share, and bit of support helps us move one step closer to creating something meaningful for local people of all ages.

Our U13 team played Wivenhoe Town Cricket Club last night at Ashlyns Road and chased down a target of 148 to win by 5 wickets. Some superb performances on both teams with some young debutants playing up and producing a thoroughly enjoyable game. Thanks for visiting us Wivenhoe and we look forward to the next match!

As always a thank you to the kids, parents and volunteer scorers, umpires and managers who give so much time to make youth cricket happen.

We were delighted to host the inaugural Frinton Turf Welfare And Treatment Society meeting at Ashlyns Road tonight. The finest groundsmen and green keepers for miles around gathered to see how we can work together and help each other out. A light refreshment was also consumed. A great way for our Golf, Tennis, Bowls and Cricket clubs to work together.

Our trophy has arrived at the club, thank you Steve Hale.
