Suddenly, at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, on Monday, 1st June 2026, after a short illness, Ronald (Ronnie) Ettles formerly of Kingsway, Forres and The Grove Care Home, Elgin, aged 80 years. Much loved dad of John and Fiona, father-in-law of Karen and Mark, devoted grandad of Josh and a good friend to many. Graveside service at Rafford Cemetery on Tuesday, 16th June at 11.30am. All friends respectfully invited. Anyone unable to attend the graveside service is welcome to join the family at the Carlton Hotel, Forres at 12.15pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, may be given at the service to the Scottish Association of Young Farmers.

WE’VE MADE HISTORY 🙌
This morning .. there was just 1 Weekend Ticket left.
For the first time ever, we’ve sold more Weekend Tickets than any year before.

Some of our MacMorians got in touch saying they were struggling to purchase .. and this is why.

We’ve now reallocated some tickets from day tickets to release some more Weekend Tickets.

What’s really incredible is how many returning customers from last year have decided that one day just wasn’t enough .. and are coming for the full weekend this time.

It’s also set to be our most widespread MacMoray ever .. with more overseas visitors than we’ve ever had before.

We are honestly blown away.

At a time when festivals are closing and changing strategies just to try sell tickets .. we are truly humbled by the incredible support from locals and visitors alike.

This will be a year to remember.

We can’t thank you enough ❤️

Excited for the final round of the Six Nations this weekend!

The rugby will be on the TV’s all day and we will be opening at 1:45pm so you’ve plenty time to come and get your drinks in for kick off 🏉

We are looking to expand our team ready for the busy season! We have the following vacancies available;

Bar staff - Mixture of day shifts, evenings and weekends. Part time. Bar team also responsible for checking guests in to the hotel so a friendly personality essential! Start date from mid to late March. 1-2 positions available depending on candidate's availability.

Housekeeping - Maximum shift 10am-5pm. May suit someone looking for 10-3 during school hours. Part time. Mixture of weekdays and weekends. Experience not necessary as long as you have a good work ethic and attention to detail. Start date from April. 1 position available.

Breakfast chef - Usual shift 7-11am. Mixture of weekdays and weekends. Part time. Chef experience essential, Food Hygiene cert to level 2 or above desirable. Start date from April. 1 position available.
