CUSTOMER ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to share this news with you all. As of Sat I will be closing the Vikki doors. The reason for this is quite simple, the losses currently being made are not sustainable and needs more investment than I am prepared to offer.
As you may know when I was approached to keep the doors open while a buyer was sought the information I was given around turnover is no where near the actual numbers being achieved this is not reflective of the building owners as I believe this was the information provided to them at the time.
With this in mind and the realisation that we could invest a lot of time and money into a project that ultimately will be sold, we see no return of investment.
After a discussion with the building owner Jacq and I have decided we need to protect our long term interests in the Thistle which we have worked so hard to build a brand that is popular with Forfar locals.
This way we can continue to do this.
I understand this leaves the Darts Dominoes and pool teams with a fair bit of uncertainty and I can provide solutions, I am available to discuss these directly with the teams from tomorrow.
I also want to say a massive thank you to all those people who have supported us while we have tried to develop the Vikki.. you all know who you are
We wish the Vikki all the best in the future and hope you find the fit that revitalises the bar.
Finally the music bingo that seems so popular will be available from 7pm each Monday at the Thistle.. we hope to see you there.
