Join us Friday & Saturday 11am–9pm and Sunday 11am–6pm for cold seafood classics and reinvented fishy feasting by the sea.

From oysters and dressed crab to platters piled high with the good stuff, we’ve got everything you need for a proper harbour-side graze.

We’ve got some absolutely beautiful oysters & shellfish that deserve to be enjoyed, so we’ll be running a few specials tomorrow while stocks last!!

Shuck It & Sea is expanding its motley crew.

After some extra cash without selling your “sole”?

Fancy a bit of sea air with your side hustle?

Can you handle both absolute bedlam and suspicious levels of calm?

You might be exactly who we’re after …

The deal:
- As little as one 6hr shift a month (we love a low-commitment queen/king)
- Or plenty more hours if you catch the bug
- School hols = all hands on deck (7 days)
- Rest of the time = mainly Fri–Mon

New for summer:
Fridays & Saturdays we go full fishionista - open ‘til 9pm with a slightly fancier, low-key luxe evening vibe.

The reality:
- We open 11am-6pm most days, with a bit of graft either side of these hours
- Some shifts fly by in a blur
- Some are slower (hello deep cleans, stock counts & beer line TLC)
- All are soundtracked by good music and chat within a fun, nurturing team

No experience needed - just good energy, reliability, and a willingness to get stuck in.

Butter-poached smoked haddock, folded into creamy mash and coated in golden panko.

Served with a gently spiced smoked paprika & lemon mayo.

The weekend is here! Sunshine, yes. Warmth … debatable 😬

If the sea breeze has other ideas, we’ve got just the thing - our Fritto Misto di Mare: a golden heap of lightly battered seafood, fresh from the fryer and built to take the edge off.

Of course, the cold counter is still holding strong -
dressed crab, prawn sarnies, oysters, crevettes & cockles (plus smoked haddock croquettes and our take on patatas bravas - we call them Shuck It Spuds - if you’re leaning warm).

Sun in your face, some warm grub in your hands … happy days!

It’s International Women’s Day which feels like a good moment to say a huge thank you to the brilliant women who helped shape and the next chapter of Shuck It & Sea last year.

From the women who’ve worked alongside me in the organised chaos of service, to those who’ve stepped in with a spare pair of hands, wise words or moral support at exactly the right moment - I’m incredibly grateful.

Running a small hospitality business can sometimes feel a bit like trying to find a penny in a bowl of porridge … but being surrounded by smart, funny, capable women makes the whole thing far more joyful.

I’m a big believer in women backing women; championing each other, sharing knowledge, opening doors and occasionally just reminding one another to sit down and eat something.

So today I’m sending a huge thank you to the brilliant women in this community and beyond who support, collaborate, graft, create and cheer each other on.

Happy International Women’s Day 🧡
