After 6 and a half Amazing years, we have made what has been an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking decision to close the doors of The Royal Oak. โค๏ธ
There really arenโt enough words to explain just how hard it is for us to write this.
For the past 6 and a half years, The Royal Oak has been so much more than just a pub. It has been a huge part of our lives, our home and a place that has brought together so many amazing people. It has given us some of the happiest memories, the biggest laughs, and friendships that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
We would like to take this opportunity to say the biggest thank you to every single person who has supported us along the way.
To our Staff who feel like family, to the customers who travelled to see us, to those who came in for a meal, a drink, a celebration or simply a chat โ thank you.
Every visit, every conversation, every laugh, every special occasion and every memory has meant more to us than you will ever truly know.
We have been incredibly lucky to have met so many wonderful people through The Royal Oak, and that is what makes saying goodbye so unbelievably difficult.
There have been so many moments over the years that we will look back on with a smile, and although the doors are closing, the memories, friendships and people who have been part of our journey will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
This is not a decision we have made lightly. There have been many difficult conversations, a lot of thought and, if we are completely honest, a lot of emotion behind making this decision. Walking away from something that has been such a huge part of our lives for the last 6 and a half years is incredibly hard.
But as a family, we feel that now is the time for us to take a step forward and begin a new chapter.
While there is undoubtedly a lot of sadness in saying goodbye to The Royal Oak, we are able to look back and feel incredibly proud of everything we built, the people we met and the memories we made along the way.
So, from the bottom of our hearts:

And most importantly, thank you for making The Royal Oak what it was.
It simply would not have been the same without every single one of you.
